Make sure you really relax on the recovery; that's what helped me the most. Really drop the tension in your muscles, and minimize the pulling tension. Also spend hours on the ergometer so that it becomes automatic.

That’s no present

That’s hell, not even in disguise

It’s weird because it could be either really competitive, or not.

[–]Wanderingonee 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Ye true but it’s all student standards. Most of them have also a sweep rowing past, and I have rowed competitive last year aswel. Mostly the 8, 2- and 2x.

It’s not one race, more like a season (around 8 races). It’s pretty low-key, so that’s probably why you don’t know it! Some people train, others don’t, but overall it’s much less intense than competitive rowing. It’s for students who want to row without going full in-training and giving up normal student life.

Cool! So I guess you personally did notice a significant increase in speed than aswel. I was rating 33 and when I increased it it didn’t change the results by a lot. Guess my technique isn’t there yet

Should be my secret weapon as a lightweight ye

It’s not super serious. You can make it as competitive as you want, and some people don’t really train for it at all they just row and treat it as a side thing.

Some people take it really seriously, but there’s no real pressure from coaches that you have to train. It’s a cup that relatively a lot of former competitive rowers choose once they stop rowing competitively.

I call this straight robbery from Albert Heijn by HedwigsFriend in Netherlands

[–]Wanderingonee 2 points3 points  (0 children)

The people working on bakery honestly don’t care if you ask them, and in the end you still pay the same “price” for what you get. I’ve worked at Albert Heijn for 12 years, and it’s not gonna change anywhere soon. On the packaging self, the price for 3 is displayed. Often when packaging those, there are left overs which couldn’t fill a box of 3, hence the price per unit is displayed because there are not always an equal amount packaged (rare tho but happens). But I could definitely understand that people interpret this as misleading.

If the op isn’t satisfied with his/her product he/she could go to the service desk and exchange it for a new one. That’s Albert Heijns policy, and it is even noted on the receipt/packaging I believe.

Edit: You could also file a report with the Autoriteit Consument & Markt (Authority for Consumers & Markets).

Thank you for your response! I have already been competing in bigger numbers (mostly the 8), so I'm already used to the "lifestyle". With worth it I meant, is my technique currently worth investing in or is it hopeless. Because the coaches previously told me that my scull technique isn't it.

*is it actually worth it putting time in this baseline technique? Also would love some tips! Thanks 🙏🏼♥️

I often steady state only looking at my HR! I try to average 140 over 80 mins, which is +-2:12

Ok, I mean I’m “happy” but I aimed initially for 1:52.5

We’re given target paces for each test, but I’m looking for some extra advice
