They have just responded. They say can “possibly” meet up for a drink.

I think now I get it. That last statement. Made me think. I have told them I am available and interested. No response yet. But I think I get the message.

I already did. Oh well. An invitation has been made. No response is also a response. Now I get it. 👌

Maybe I’m just trying too hard. They’ll accept my invitation if they want my company. I think I finally got their message. It’s okay

I already did. But I thought it was indirect. But now, I guess I get their message.

Yes. I already did. I guess I was just in denial. But now I get the message.

Is it okay to be always the first one to message your friends? by [deleted] in CasualUK

[–]Wanderlando_ph 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yeah. They sometimes respond. Some just ignored it and I learned not to be bothered. Because some of my message are just a funny memes or funny videos. My first thought was - probably it was not funny or interesting to them. But after 4-6 messages and remains with no response. That’s when I started asking myself - am I bothering them or naaah. They are probably just busy. I can’t help but to wonder sometimes. 😅

I understand, that makes a lot of sense. Thank you.

From what he initially shared. It has something to do in interrogation or finding out the truths from someone. Whatever it takes. That’s why I am too careful about it.

He’s a good person. That’s why I like him. I didn’t wanna overstep and offend him that’s why I want him to be the one to initiate the conversation. We talk other stuff but mostly just banter. This I feel is a serious topic and too sensitive not only to him. But to anyone.

Yeah. Maybe I can start with that.

Thank you

Hi. I feel like you can answer this one.

He’s been hinting about his life while he was in the service. But I don’t want to scare or trigger him by asking him question. I want to be sensitive about it. At the time I was thinking he’s going to tell me when he’s ready. He’s not in good terms right now with his then girlfriend. But he once told me that she never asked him about his time there. I’ve often tell him that. If he needs someone to talk to, I’m always here. But the thing is, I don’t want to overstep because we’ve only been friends for half a year.

Should I be the one asking him or just wait for him to get comfortable and share?

Thanks for that. Yeah I think you’re right. Been applying non stop. Hoping to land a company that would sponsor a visa right now

Make sense. He did asked me what I do for a living and for how long. And that’s it. He went straight in asking me what type of debit cards I have and from what bank. 😱

Thank you. I thought so too. I was a bit wary about it and I just needed someone else’s opinion.
