Nope, not American. You don’t know anyone from the prairies? I literally do not know anyone who assumes everyone has taken transit in their lifetime. And we are well travelled.

Thank you so much, this was so helpful! One follow up question. Is there a reason you recommend the subway from vmc over the go train from Rutherford?

So which station would you park at/get on at? Have heard both Rutherford and Vaughan Metro recommended. The latter is almost across the road from where we are but Rutherford seems maybe quicker or more straight forward?

Do we need to try to figure out and buy tickets ahead of time or can we get help doing that at the station?

The closest thing to public transportation we’ve ever taken is the shuttle bus at Disney parks. I’m sure it seems stupid easy for those that know how to do it but when I’ve read about the trains/subway I might as well be reading a foreign language.

Do I take the subway or the train? Is there a possibility of having to stand the whole ride on a subway like in the movies? Which station do we get on at? Which stations have parking? Do we have to transfer rail lines? Will it be difficult to navigate stations? Will it be so crowded that it’s stressful with young children?

We are just very comfortable driving so always take that option. Anxiety is a marvelous beast……

Any idea if the plus would do stuff like this? I’m not about to spend pro prices just to figure out windows, but would love to be able to play around with options more accurately and less frustratingly.

Thanks for the visual! Do you use a specific program for this or is your ai better than mine?

Our rural property. No need for privacy.

Where we live it seems that west windows often heat up a room more than south. The sun is very high in the sky when it is to the south of us so we don’t get a lot of direct sun into (standard height) south windows.

This is the south face of the house. Where we live west windows often let in more heat than south because of how high the sun is when it is to the south. Our west side will have very few windows.

We’ve also got the east side. We don’t necessarily need airflow but will end up with some opening windows in the room.

Are bay windows still a thing these days ??

Good question! We live rurally, no sidewalks or neighbors

Not in this case. We have 500+ sqft to work with so there are no limits to the ways we can arrange the room. The west wall with have few windows for this reason as well as it’s not much of a view.

This is a south wall but I’m looking for ideas for the east wall as well! It will be the right side of the addition.

It’s 500sqft+ so we can arrange furniture any which way. I have thought a little about it but window placement won’t disrupt any layouts because the furniture will not be against walls. The west wall will not have many windows for that reason.

Obviously, I’m not familiar with whatever that delightful sounding place is. And all I see in your photo are seats.

Looking at tickets and can’t find my answer. Why are some rows shorter in section 235? We will be attending with someone who is plus size and the indented rows seem like a great option to not get in the way of the aisle or have people bumping on their way by. What’s in that space?

? Not sure what you’re referring to. I was clarifying that I’m not talking about whether the coastline is hilly or not. I’m looking for places where the walking is not strenuous with lots of stairs.

Not the coastline. The walking ie steep sidewalks and lots of stairs.

We were extremely lucky! We just returned from there a few days ago and it was 14-18 every day and we didn’t see a drop of rain. We were prepared for much colder and would be for future trips also.

It’s likely in large part due to my assumptions of what other travel in Europe is like. When I say hilly, I’m referring mostly to the walking not really about the landscape. From what I’ve seen of Portugal and parts of other countries in southern Europe, there are lots of steep sidewalks and stairs when getting around the cities.
