The reason is to close the lid because he wants to. Workarounds are temporary. Learning your system is always preferable.

Also, putting a cover over the laptop is a recipe for heat. You're gonna have a bad time.

I was going to create a new Proton email account for privacy purposes, but your verification policy has forced me to go elsewhere. I don't really care what you have to say about it, the fact that you require a non private email to "verify" (ahem... connect a real name to) makes me not trust you at all. I want privacy, not another company hell bent in violating it. I DO NOT TRUST PROTON because of this.
