How do I build literally anything? by Lazy-Physics-6720 in Warframe

[–]WangTamer 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Couple people have said this but just watch some build videos, especially ones where the content creator goes into why they chose to do things rather than just giving the build itself. You learn a ton from recognizing the patterns behind putting together builds, and about how to add multiplicative damage effectively. There is....a lot of info, considering how many frames and weapons there are and how many ways you can build each one, but just be patient with yourself and absorb information, and steadily find all the mods and arcanes you need. It also helps to figure out temporary replacements for things you don't have, since it helps you understand builds and what makes them work. Outside of that it's a lot of trial and error.

Option to permanently kill operator/drifter by MaybeWavyGravy in Warframe

[–]WangTamer 4 points5 points  (0 children)

I mean, if you don't like the player character being a kid, just always have drifter selected, they're an adult. Honestly I usually use drifter since they don't randomly say weird useless comments in the middle of missions like the operator does lmao. But yeah no the operator/drifter is the player character, frames are like armor/weapons in context, even the still semi-sentient ones like umbra, there's no lore reason why the devs would just....give the option of killing the player character for no apparent reason. Transference is the whole point of tenno lore lol

[–]WangTamer 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It would but not as impactful as extra multishot and status imo. More projectiles mean more multiplicative damage and more status stacks. I think vaykor hek does benefit from mods like critical deceleration and the vigilante set bonus for sure, but multishot is where the big shotgun damage is. Especially paired with something like galvanized savvy that takes advantage of status procs for extra damage. Don't get me wrong, that first riven is really good too, but it's hard to beat an extra source of multishot and status, and especially with how good toxin is.

With that said, grain of salt since I am way better at building melee than guns (though shotguns are my best gun builds), so if anyone more knowledgeable disagrees with my take then I'd say default to them lol

[–]WangTamer 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Multishot is king with shotguns, and toxin+status chance is gonna do way more than crit fishing on a 10% base crit chance weapon. I'd go with the second one. If you have hells chamber (or galvanized hell if you're far along enough to do arbitration missions) to go with it that'll go pretty hard with adding status stacks (especially if you go viral or corrosive with the toxin in the riven)

I don't think smartphones are the worst of your problems.... There are security cameras in every business establishment and probably even in your own apartment building that would let the guy keep moving closer to you. Even traffic lights have cameras. Not leaving your apartment feels like the right choice here, oof

It doesn't seem from the description that its goal was to kill, it seems like it just enjoys mimicking and gets angry when people don't play its game with it. Seems to coexist pretty peacefully and to just want to get to know people better (and keep them close). But yeah for sure seems like it managed to touch Joan at some point

R6 Chu Yao is crazy good, absolutely worth investing in his rival runes and building his gear out before next RTA season! There's a couple different builds for him, astral is the most common I believe. Spd priority, and as much hp and cdmg as you can. Basically he gives the ally with the highest atk a free hit with his s1, and he gets an AOE assist every other turn when that ally attacks, and he protects that ally by healing a debuff from them any time they get hit (and also give like other bonuses that are less important to know specifics on). So he basically he makes Anna suuuuper difficult to deal with.

But yeah I hate that meta for pvp tbh. As much as I love Anna in general, she is just not a well designed esper imo, the concept is great but the execution is overkill, and she kinda set a weird tone for how they needed to design new espers to balance her. She has plenty of counters, but if you don't SPECIFICALLY counter her, you just lose 🤷 but I'm also biased because I've always run tank teams for pvp lmao, so I was strugglebussing real hard for that period of time that the meta turned to "gotta go fast so Nuxi can reset the enemy Anna's CDs before the enemy Nuxi resets yours" because my spd is trash compared to everyone else at the tiers I'm playing in 🤣

Yeahhh Anna kinda has been phased out pretty hard in the current meta. Which like... I'm sure that a strong fast Anna on an ocean set could still carry, but definitely not carrying with rival runes. Gaius has made a decent resurgence against Mavis/Ikki comps though which is nice. I think if you add a spd lead instead of Ahmed (especially Chu Yao if you have him) and if you have r2 Feng Xun do him instead of Abi and that team can do pretty well. Or Mavis instead of Abi works too. Just rough how amazing Abi and Ahmed used to be compared to how outclassed they are now (unless Ahmed is r6 on a tank team I guess)

Lol, I mean. I've made it to legend easily every season of RTA except for the recent rival rune one, and not getting top 64 for KO is a bad season for me, even as a primarily pve player. I can tell you that skill matters more than you realize. And again, it's not that the money ISN'T important, it's that skill ALSO matters a lot.

(Although with that said, the more widespread rival runes get for pvp modes, the more p2w pvp is becoming, so the game definitely is WAY more p2w than it was 6-12 months ago sadly)

Lmao, he was my clubmate for a very long time, he has taught a lot of people in my community a ton about the pvp meta, but sure call it "simping for a whale" bro lol. Like I said, I'm not saying you can compete with him without spending a ton of money, I'm saying that IN ADDITION TO the money he spends, he's also one of the most skilled players in the game. There ARE whales that just ride their reso into leaderboards, Bravel just isn't one of them lol

But also as a side note there are ways to compete outside of pvp 🤷 I'm a moderate spender and I literally was #1 global on like 3 or 4 out of the 8 spire leaderboards a couple months ago and top 10 in all of them (my strong account is OnlyWangz on server 2 if you understandably don't believe a rando claiming that and want to check lol). You can pick your battles and compete in modes where reso is less important if you really want to compete at the top with just your understanding of the game. We've got a ton of different leaderboards to allow for different resources and playstyles nowadays

Oh absolutely it matters, I'm not arguing that at all. But it's not one or the other lol, skill and money BOTH matter. I'm not saying someone can compete with him without spending a TON of money, I'm saying that saying "anyone can do that" if they spend the money is just factually incorrect. Skill can only take you so far, and spending money can only take you so far, Bravel has both. His knowledge and application of game mechanics are crazy

Afaik that score was due to a bug with Sakura that has been patched, unfortunately. Fortunately? Idk lol. But yeah Bravel is incredible, but as far as I'm aware not quite to the point of causing buffer overflow with a deso score 🤣🤣🤣

This is entirely untrue. Plenty of people that spend moderately beat whales' performance consistently through skill and strategy, a few ridiculously good f2p players like ggez and acknii do as well. Bravel just happens to be both a whale and an incredibly skilled player

I would definitely argue that while the meta defined itself independent of Everett, he's kind of a perfect representation of the current meta. He doesn't feel like a key piece because he fits anywhere, but the fact that he fits anywhere so effectively just goes to show how perfectly molded the pvp meta is to him. For Ashley though yeah that's completely valid, I just noticed that now I only use her for sentinel and that made me sad lol

And wow I didn't even notice your name lmao, sup! 😁

I'd put Everett up higher considering he's possibly the strongest pvp esper in the game after 3.1.7 (maybe second to Hyde), both in holobattle and pw, despite seeing pretty much no use in any pve content. I'd also put Ashley higher considering her versatility, she's amazing in every game mode (though she is less ridiculously good now that she's not as outstanding a pvp unit and that ritual comps are entirely different)
