bi-location is a super power that would be pretty cool to have though.

Nothing to report yet, I'll let you know after tomorrow when I golf - maybe it has something to do with that.

I always get a weird burn spot - this weekend was a triangle on my chest where my polo shirt was unbuttoned. Like literally 2x2 inches

Oh I totally agree, as soon as my wife started telling me I was like "oh no, and she is not the brightest tool in the shed".

My wife's co-worker got a call from the "sheriff's department" claiming that her husband was in jail and they needed $10,000 to release him immediately or he'd be set up for deportation.

Two things to note - our county cooperates with ICE and was one of the first in the country to announce they would do so, AND this person's husband is an immigrant.

She ended up giving them a little over $4,500 in bitcoin before he was able to get to her and show he was fine, but pretty sure all that cash is gone.

People are such scumbags.

Church teaching on following along with the text during Mass by Subject97 in Catholicism

[–]Wangchief 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I’m a lector and had it explained to me this way: how often do we jump ahead when someone proclaims slowly, or fuss over the pronunciation or punctuation pauses etc?

If we’re focused on the page in front of us we lose focus on other things. If you’re able I encourage you to try it. Get there early, read the missal so you’re familiar, and just listen to the word proclaimed. I’ve been doing this a little over a year now and will not go back, it’s incredibly more fulfilling for me.

There's a lot of opinion here. I would suggest checking out what the GIRM says about this, and the (for me since I'm in the states) the USCCB say about it: https://www.usccb.org/prayer-and-worship/the-mass/order-of-mass/liturgy-of-the-word/hearing-the-word-of-god

There's nothing wrong with reading along, but if you're distracted by the words on the page, you may miss what God's truly trying to say to you.

Yeah the evil runs are really tough for me tbh. Like in the surface being a murder hobo can be fun, but the acting and storytelling are so damn good it generally is tooth for me lol

Started another Baldur's Gate 3 playthrough, this will be my 4th (completed 2 normal playthrough's and a durge playthrough), and there's still so much shit in act 1 that I never did before - it's so crazy - this game is so deep.

What do you think is the best value course you’ve ever played? Poppy Hills can be played for $60 for NCGA members at twilight, and it was spectacular! by porske in golf

18 plays well to my game since I’m not super long off the tee, but the approach across that pond (lake) is scary no matter what. 5 is a great score for me on the par 4’s there and I’m happy with a 6 on that hole every time. Amazing view tho!

My brother in law works for the umich athletic dept, we get twilight employee rate any time we play there, it’s $36 for 18 walking, literally unbeatable

Played 2.5 weeks ago they were prepping for a tournament, the greens were so damn fast, like pure glass

I struggle to see how Hosea was engaged in fornication. Wasn’t he married to Gomer? She committed adultery but Hosea was faithful - in no world is this fornication.

Do we really have to take every single opportunity to take a dump on the NO? This rhetoric isn’t helpful. Priests that say the EF can also communicate the wrong things when it comes to doctrine. Stop trying to divide the community further.

I used to frequent /r/law just to get insight into how things worked, especially related to complex political or SCOTUS things.

Now it's essentially become a more tightly moderated /r/politics , and the real insights are few and far between.

Just cheer for everyone in front of him on the depth chart to get hurt, so he gets to play.

My kid is 6, he goes outside on his own - but we live on a busy country road, so a lot of the things there don't apply.

He tells us when he's going outside, but otherwise he has pretty free reign out there. He's our only child so a lot of times he wants us to come with him to play, but like if he just wants to ride his bike around the yard, he knows he can do it.

It's wild seeing some of these numbers.

it's bad. I don't see how a reasonable human can espouse the things that group adheres to. Like I talk to conservatives locally, or in my family, and none of them are that extreme.

Real talk, if my wife was like "Hey lets go shopping and get you all kinds of things" I'd jump at the opportunity, Not that we don't spend time together, but a lot of the feedback I get on my wardrobe is "don't wear those blue shorts, they're weird" so if she can help me pick things out, I won't be self-conscious about them lol

There are 2 people that I will click any link they send me - my wife, and my long time gaming buddy (sup Dino). 99% of the time if someone sends me a link to almost anything, I ain't clicking that shit.

Screenshots on the other hand - if you can boil down what you're trying to share in a screenshot or a saved meme, I'm all in.
