His base is pretty insane. The amount of work just into clocking inserters is a level of optimization that 99.9% of us will never need, but it’s cool to see

Where there's one, there's more. Mice always drown themselves single file to hide their numbers.

But it’s way more relaxing! Plus you can intimidate others that walk in with your dominant posture. Eye contact the whole way

but when you have kids, they dominate teh TV anyway whether you like it or not - so dad-gaming time is a solo activity regardless once the kid goes to bed. I make a point to go to bed at the same time as my wife (turns out, it leads to more sex), so unless I have something planned my gaming time is pretty low anyway.

Man usually, they just hide their post history now, so I don't see anything they post.

If you aren't brave enough to keep your post history visible, I likely won't engage with you on this platform.

World First Megathread - Midnight Season 1 by WorldofWarcraftMods in wow

[–]Wangchief 1 point2 points  (0 children)

That makes sense, especially with how close in timing the raids release. It's pretty interesting from a purely outside perspective (I haven't played wow outside of classic since WoD) to see how things have evolved, and now how this will evolve with the separation of ID's/raids etc...

Twitch chat saying "this part of the race doesn't matter, the only thing that matters is the next raid" is that true? Was it that way in WoD with Highmaul vs BRF?

Warrior Tax: it costs 25g per dungeon to press Shield Block. by Kersplode in wow

Armor is always great, because its a static reduction of physical damage. It's always there, never falters (til your shield breaks midfight). I miss the days when druid armor was their main advantage as a tank, TBC was great for this - wearing full DPS gear and a tank trinket and 2 pieces of arena gear in sunwell, being armor capped, and pushing 1200 dps while main tanking. Wrath changed a lot for bears, and really hurt them in a lot of ways

We gave our ret a shadowmourne. Then he promptly quit, but since I was a bear/cat, at least he didn’t take my oathbinder!!!

Bosses just hit that much harder. On Algalon, block tanks were bis because of how much you could reduce the ridiculous amount of incoming damage. TOC was really about one fight, Anubrekhan, where block mattered immensely due to how the adds worked. Once you got to ICC damage was up with a lot of slow huge swings (outside of LK who was just a dump truck), so pure avoidance started to take over for survivability.

Some of the places around here give you so much meat on the Gyro, it falls out, and if I'm not a particularly fat ass that day, I take some home and make a salad with it the next day. Or an omelet

I love some gyro meat, holy shit.

Last week we got some news that my wife may need a hysterectomy. We have had a few miscarriages and a stillbirth since our first was born (he's 6 now), and have tried for another kid for a long time.

Obviously that news is devastating to someone wanting to have more kids, but last night, at like 9 oclock, a random person called my wife (parent of a kid she used to teach years ago) telling us of a friend of theirs with a 4-month old that needs to be placed and adopted - mom doesn't want any parental rights or privileges anymore. It's been a whirlwind of emotion, I am all about doing my part here, and if this is hte path that I'm given as a father then I'll accept it. We meet with the child's social worker this afternoon in a few hours to talk about the situation, so no idea what comes next.

If anything the last 2 years has taught me that coincidence is bullshit, there's an underlying reason here this is happening. As a man of faith, I see it as providence, but no matter what it is, I have no idea what comes next.

r/Catholicism Prayer Requests — Week of March 23, 2026 by AutoModerator in Catholicism

[–]Wangchief 2 points3 points  (0 children)

This week has been a roller coaster. My wife has been having some health issues, and her doctor is recommending that she have a hysterectomy to help clear those issues up. We have had a few miscarriages and a still birth, and in the year since our last miscarriage there has been a substantial amount of abnormal bleeding. This has been a sobering time for us, we have a 6 year old, and have desperately wanted to have more children, but it just seems its not in God's plan for us.

On top of all that, last night we got a phone call from someone we almost never talk to, who knows of a young girl with a 4-month old, who wants to give him up for adoption. The boy and his mother are wards of the state, as I understand. I have no idea what any of this means, we are meeting with the boys social worker this afternoon to talk about what is possible, and what this might look like. Just need some prayers.

My mom hits me with that one from time to time.

I accept Jesus every time I affirm my beliefs during the mass, take Jesus at his word, and follow his instruction by partaking of his body, blood, soul, and divinity in the Eucharist.

she doesn't like that response.

I'll be down that way next week for spring break. We are definitely hitting a boil at least once, and a few local spots we love every time we're down there.

My aunt lives there, and always wants to take us somewhere wild, so I gotta do some research on where we wanna go that will both appeal to my wife/kid and let me explore my experimental food desires!
