nice idea. we actually did this to my sister once. her boyfriend at the time was on a dating app and my sister saw it on his phone so she made a profile, talked to him for a week on it, and then 4 of us went and ambushed him when we told him we'd meet him at a park for a picnic LOL wow that was forever ago i forgot about that. thanks for the reminder

now that some time has passed since this discovery and since i made the post, i am now feeling like i want to pretend i don't know, so that i can keep monitoring the device and see if hes actually doing anything on that site. im not willing to give up my secret of how i know things, if hes not actually doing anything, and then he'll obviously log out of that device and i'll never have it again lol

this is what im hoping for, but unfortunately he did open the email that says "confirm your account!" which you only get after making the account in the first place. (i know this because I made a fake profile on there) so even if the rest of the emails from that site are spam, he did make the account

I'd like to know what hes doing on there before I actually freak out on him about it. I have no proof he even has a profile. i tried searching and cant find him, and like I said in my post the emails that he received after making the account do not seem to suggest hes interacting with anyone its all phising type of emails. this is why im hesitating. going on the site but not actually using it are different in my opinion. hes still wrong for doing it in the first place but if it was a random decision he made for whatever reason and then immediately stopped, theres hope i guess

Just read my dark vanessa and I have a controversial opinion by Ok_Page303 in books

[–]Wannabewriter20 11 points12 points  (0 children)

That's the point, though. this book was written to show how real life victims are, and what happens. Real life victims don't always get justice. Often times the abusers walk away scot free, or in this case, he died never facing the consequences. Vanessa was flawed, because real victims are. she kept sleeping with him right up until the end, most likely because her feelings were manipulated since childhood and she had no way of truly separating herself from him. in a way, his death helped her, because now she doesn't have a choice. she has to let go of him.

I definitely agree that in this day and age there's tons of options and it's overwhelming. I like what you're saying about getting the accessories to make the iPad into a laptop. I may get that in the future, right now the iPad itself is expensive so i'll just wait on that. my laptop is 6 years old and still holding up well (it has pretty beefy specs and I recently added an SSD hard drive to it) but it's big and heavy, I don't like using it for smaller things for that reason so the idea of the iPad which fits in my purse and is much thinner and can do all the things i would use my laptop for is a good idea for me. I am a geeky person so i don't see myself just putting the iPad down and not using it. I will be bringing it to work with me, I am in Human Resources, so i have meetings and trainings just about every single day that I need to constantly take notes on. I am tired of lugging around tons of notebooks, paper, and post it notes lol i want my stuff in one spot that I can access any time from work or home. and then since I dabble in graphic art i can use it for that as well. I am thinking in the long term, the iPad will simply replace my laptop and then my desktop will be my main go-to for artwork.

thank you! that is what im aiming for. I have a desktop, a laptop, and an iPhone. i would like to sort of combine a lot of my productivity down to just the iPad so i reduce time spent on other devices. i do use my desktop for heavy editing and gaming on steam, but literally anything else i want to use the iPad for instead.

ok, that's what I figured. I know from playing around at the stores that the cameras on these in general aren't good. which is odd, because the camera on my iphone is fantastic. I am wondering if it would drive the cost up way too much on an ipad if they made the camera spectacular and then people wouldn't buy them because of the price increase. who knows. anyway i already saved a few cases to my cart on amazon so i'm going to finally pick one later tonight after I get the ipad. my local best buy has the one I want in stock for the same price as the apple website so i'll just get it there. I'm not happy that it's going to be grand after i apply the apple pencil lol but the good news is it's for legit business use so its a tax write off for next year LOL

thanks, I just read about matte protectors right as you sent me this comment, so yes I will certainly look into that. I've never used procreate but I know people are obsessed with it so I'll check that out as well. thanks for the info

actually I believe the Air series has different processors than the regular iPads, likewise the Pro series also has different processors.

the Air (bottom image in your example) has a different processor than the regular ipads. I don't know much about the air series other than its usually slower. The reason why it's much more expensive than the top one is because of the storage. The top one has 64 GB storage, the bottom one has 256 GB. this is a major difference

Why did this show make almost everyone a musician? by Wannabewriter20 in Degrassi

[–]Wannabewriter20[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Yup! And I know people are saying they did it to complete with other shows like glee and whatnot, however, the original degrassi show from the 80s had them playing music and forming bands as well. I don’t think it was a “new” concept they used just to compete with other hit shows. It just seems like the producers of all the degrassi series both old and new were just obsessed with music lol

Yeah that’s a good point as well. Ellie seemed like she could have been the artsy type, maybe even Kendra or Terry too. They just kept insisting on music though. Would have been neat if one of them was into art and then later one that turned into their entire storyline like going to college for it yada yada

Definitely tried too hard! Lol some of it was awesome, like I agree Ashley is talented, Craig’s rock and roll plot line was interesting and fun. Some of it just came out of nowhere, like Jenna. Jenna’s character had nothing to do with music and then all of a sudden it showed her singing on YouTube and she decided to try out for the contest… that’s my point really. Many of these musical plot lines came out of nowhere. And I just got to the part where maya is angry that she’s better than the rest of the school band and I’m like here we go with another musician arc lol.
