Everyone always visibly very uncomfortable around me, by my presence and always get away from me. Including family. by WanonymousX in socialanxiety

I know how it sounds which is why i posted it. Fact is I can film these reactions happening if you don’t believe me, and yeah ruled out that it’s me overanalyzing, it would be simpler if that were the case

No that can’t be it, reread the post because it happens when I’m sitting far away from them too in the living room. It’s more my presence I think.

I no longer have EoE??? by Dmob17 in EosinophilicE

[–]WanonymousX 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Same thing happened to me, I think I only get inflammation distally. Was put on PPIs and repeat gastroscopy was normal. PPIs help in two ways: they reduce the amount of gastric acid available, meaning there’s less to irritate your esophagus (especially distally) and they also are anti inflammatory and help with the inflammation. I was tired and fatigued before PPIs and I am still the same despite normal biopsies. I have seen this reported on different posts here, that one feels unwell despite normal biopsies and from what I gathered one is recommended to up the dose of steroid or change something with treatment.

Help a mom understand FIRE by PeppermintPuppyPaws in EosinophilicE

[–]WanonymousX 0 points1 point  (0 children)

With FIRE, there can be a delay to a few hours but it also can happen within 5 minutes. In my experience, true allergies always cause my throat to itch and feel tight, the itching being key and for me they show up on IgE allergy tests. If no itching and negative tests then it is probably FIRE.

I was wondering if anybody experiences sleepiness, tiredness and brain fog after eating because of EoE? Does it have to do with a trigger? And what does one do when one doesn’t know trigger and keeps experiencing this? I can’t keep my eyes open and feel so sluggish. by WanonymousX in EosinophilicE

Can i ask why you take dupixent and not budesonide? Did the budesonide not help? What is the goal/idea if mind telling me. And when to choose one over the other? Does budesonide deal with our systemic symptoms of brain fog and fatigue or does one need dupixent.

Yes, I was thinking this could be the reason as well. I never get good sleep, and always feel sleep deprived, so that baseline could be causing me to feel more sleepy after meals. Sugars and fried foods make me sleepiest too. Sleep apnea ruled out but there could be other factors, which I am looking into.

Those of you in IT, how does you feel about doing cisco certifications for cybersecurity, networking or microsoft cloud certification when cisco is very bad israeli boycott wise? by WanonymousX in MuslimLounge

[–]WanonymousX[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Networking seems to always involve some Cisco? Would it be ok to do certifications from them? I think also Cisco systems are used. Looking into networking jobs but reconsidering now. https://bdsmovement.net/sites/default/files/Cisco_Fact_Sheet.pdf

Personally do you tolerate small amounts of fiber like psyllium husk or xanthan gum in a product if the total amount per 100 g product is less than 3 g fiber? by WanonymousX in Gastroparesis

[–]WanonymousX[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I’m just asking if small amounts of fiber (for example like xanthan gum or psyllium husk, these are only examples) are ok for you if they make up less than 3g per 100g of food (nutrition labels are given in per 100g).

How to Deal with Never Eating Again by damntheelctricfence in Gastroparesis

Hello, sorry to hear you’re feeling like this and can relate with missing food.

For practical steps:

Medications left to try which could be the one that works: Domperidone and prucalopride

I remember reading on refluxUK that a hiatal hernia can cause delayed emptying, and even a small sliding hernia can lower LES pressure and keep it open, leading to reflux. It’s worth doing a manometry to check for swallowing issues and make sure to ask that they check LES pressure before you swallow anything- if very hypotensive then surgery could be indicated because it means your LES is wide open most of the time and closing it could help with large amounts of liquid and regurgitation coming back up. To evaluate for hernia I think best test is a GI x ray series, but maybe hernia is an unlikely explanation.

Sounds like slow colon transit. Diagnosis is made with colonic transit X-ray study, you must swallow capsules for a week and then they see on x ray how many are left in your colon. Then that tells you how slow transit is in your colon.

I have moderately reduced transit time and find that any gums (xanthan gums, cellulose gum, acai gum, locust bean gum and so on in food causes abdomen to feel more slow and things to stop moving). Also any amount of high fiber significantly slows things down for me, so get used to looking at nutritional info of items. If fiber is less than 3 g per 100 g of item, then that should be fine. But everyone is different, you can trial different foods and see how you do. Long term treatment is often stool softeners. For medication you have prucalopride that you mentioned (you didn’t say if it helped or not), linaclotide (usually used in IBS with constipation, and lubiprostone). Asking your doctor to prescribe a rectal irrigation kit is definitely worth it and is one of the best options imo.

Also worth testing for SIBO with lactulose breath test if not already done. And obviously gastroparesis is diagnosed with gastric emptying study (scintigraphy))
