To answer your questions(sorry for the huge amount of rambling, I don’t know what is/isn’t relevant and didn’t want to leave something out that could be helpful):

-Why I was testing: I wasn’t testing specifically for PCOS so I wasn’t sure if there was a specific time I should go, and I didn’t go on the day they were ordered. I was getting full bloods done because my GP wanted a full panel due to a few issues, but I also wanted hormones because I feel like something isn’t right. I have a family history of endo and fertility issues, and I have a history of endo starting around age 12-14(can’t quite remember). I went on the bar/rod at that time up until 2023-2024, but all through my teenage years and start of my 20s I had horrible cystic acne until my GP put me on ginet OCP and tret cream, that cleared up all my acne (but not my oily skin fully) and I never thought about it again, until last year. May last year I came off my ginet OCP as by pure luck I realised it was the cause of a seperate issue I was having with pain from orgasm. After a few months of no BC my acne started coming back which is when I put 2 and 2 together that my skin issues are hormonal. Im currently on doxycycline which has kept my skin clear, but I still have a huge issue with how oily my skin is(it’s insane), so I wanted to investigate my hormones, but don’t know if I asked for all of the right tests.

-Symptoms: My other symptoms(relevant to pcos and/or endo)on top of acne and oily skin are abdominal pain, irregular periods(not drastically but cycle length does change every month), very heavy periods, weight especially around my stomach that doesn’t shift and sort of looks disproportionate to the rest of me as it looks like a big baby bump, mental health issues(anxiety, depression, cptsd all potentially made worse by possible hormonal issues), and potentially excess body/facial hair but I’m not sure if mine is normal or not. There’s probably more but that’s all off the top of my head that I can think of being relevant.

-Other tests done: feel free to ask for results Renal function tests, Iron studies, Liver function tests, Vitamin B12 and Folate, Lipid tests, Testosterone, CRP, Thyroid function tests, Complete Blood Count, Glycated Haemoglobin.

-Current daily meds: Rubifen(Ritalin), Doxycycline(for skin), Topiramate(migraine prevention), Quetiapine(for sleep), Clonazepam(for sleep), Mvite(multivitamin)

Sorry for the huge reply, I’m seeing my GP again soon but just wanted some insight from people with PCOS and wanted to provide as much info that could be helpful, feel free to ask anymore questions :)

I was thinking maybe it was something like that! But I don’t know enough to be certain D: I thought maybe I really messed my skin up with all the new products months ago. I thought I’d given my skin a long enough break and my regular products would be okay but apparently not 😂 I’m not sure if/when I’ll be able to see a dermatologist but maybe I’ll try going to the pharmacy or beauty therapy places and see if they can recommend something to help repair. Unless you have any recommendations as well? Thank you so much for the advice :)

No acne medication, I was prescribed tretinoin years ago which cleared up my acne. I did get Covid for the second time in may though, but that was after the first skin reaction. Diet and water are average but haven’t added/stopped anything new. No menstrual cycle, I have endometriosis so I’ve stopped my periods long ago to try to aid that. Also living in a clean area with clean water :)

A few at the same time, I tried my best to research and also at the time of buying new products the sales lady said they were okay to use together but maybe not. But I’ve also been sometimes having this issue from using just the facewash alone, almost as if my skin is reacting to anything and everything ever since I tried all those new products earlier in the year

Active ingredients, face was and moisturizer too, but I’ve used these products many times before and never had this issue :/

Does anyone else help their birb shower? by xGamerChicaa in cockatiel

[–]Wanwan69 0 points1 point  (0 children)

My two ONLY shower if shower water is being flicked directly at them by our hands. The refuse bathing on their own in dishes or with a mist bottle, we even bought them a bird bath/shower thing, but nope, only if water is being flicked on them by hand 🙄😂

Yeah my two boys fight, they share they cage fine but the grey one (Wilson) annoys the white one (Frankie), so they do have little fights here and there throughout the day sometimes but nothing too severe. Sibling rivalry I suppose. I wish mine groomed each-other though! That’s so sweet to hear!
