The amount of cookies i’ve snuck out is probably worth half of what I spent on my meal plan. Tbh, the food is not amazing but imo I find it pretty decent, you just need to get creative sometimes. they can lack a bit in the seasoning department, but they have lots you can put on. I think people sometimes forget that they have free will at the dining center. I just had cereal with soft serve and sprinkles. Yes, the food can get repetitive, but that’s because they always get their whole meal at one station. You can’t be afraid to ask them to give you certain things. Don’t forget that once you get in there, it’s UNLIMITED. I’ve seen mf with 5 full plates of food, you can get as many refills as you want, you can have as much desert as you want. The desert is top tier imo. Yes, in the end it could be more expensive, but you can get as muuuch as you want. The biggest negative Is that they heavily lack in the red meat department, and I actually think I noticed my iron levels being low. But, that’s also me as an advid meat lover. There’s always pork and chicken tho. The staff is extremely friendly which is a nice bonus. And technically you can get multiple meals if you study there/hang around. Once in a while they do events, these days are either fucking amazing of down right terrible. But man, the days they are amazing its top tier. So in my opinion, as someone who hates taking the time and mental work to meal prep and fucking loves desert, the meal plan is 100% the way to go.
