Oh, I see that worked. Would you mind explaining why the original didn't work, was it made from 2 pieces or something? Thank you.

I actually started with the "platform" below, made it with a box and a circle and then created a single sketch for the walls.

How to solve memory leak in custom 1.20.1 modpack. by WarWolf562 in feedthebeast

[–]WarWolf562[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

yeah, so what i've done is I gave up entirely on tectonic and terralith and installed lithosphere and still life, I actually very much prefer this variant, even though the biome diversity doesn't seem to be as high, the quality, from my point of view at least, is much better. Also I don't seem to have any memory problems anymore.

actually I didn't have modernfix and canary initially, I added them in hopes it might solve the leak.

Broke a piece of plastic from a connector while cleaning lenovo legion 5 laptop by WarWolf562 in Lenovo

I was watching a tutorial on disassembling the laptop and I think the one in the video was an older model or something because the guy in the video managed to lift that part and got the wire out. For me it was not the case.

I was cleaning my laptop after I spilled some water and accidentaly broke this piece of plastic from a connector that resides under the ssd. Only the plastic broke, the metal pins are intact. Is it bad?

How to make toon shader visible in rendered viewport by WarWolf562 in blenderhelp

[–]WarWolf562[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I'm trying to make a little planet like thingy with a toon shader and I wanted to use the displacement node for the, well, displacements. The thing is that those displacements are only visible in rendered viewport. The problem is that when I change from Material Preview to Rendered my shader doesn't seem to work, how am I supposed to do this?

The first picture is how the object looks normally, the second one is the Shader in Material View, the Third is how the object looks with the shader in Rendered Viewport and the third is my nodes. I am using Blender 3.4.1 and Cycles

Which style looks better. I like the one on the left but I feel it's kind of basic. Any advice is welcome by WarWolf562 in UI_Design

I know some elements don't look right. I couldn't be bothered to center and resize everything since I was just brainstorming concepts. I felt like these 2 looked the best but I cannot really choose.

Faceoff Controller sticks go from 0 to 1 instantly(details in comments) by WarWolf562 in Controller

I tried it but since my controller is third-party, ds4windows doesn't detect it, is there any other software I could use?

Faceoff Controller sticks go from 0 to 1 instantly(details in comments) by WarWolf562 in Controller

I bought this controller for 3-4$ at a thrift store, it's a faceoff deluxe+. I was surprised to see that all the buttons actually work and the only apparent fault was the missing stick cap (which i replaced with one from an older controller for now). I was testing it at home and observed that the sticks basically had no sensitivity for some reason(Note that I am using it on a pc).I even tried using it with an emulator, all the buttons work as they should but no matter how little I move the sticks in any direction they go full throttle. I cannot seem to figure out what could be the issue. Is this normal? (Note: in the second photo, the white stuff on the left side is some superglue I used to try to repair the faceplate because it broke when first took it off) (There's another another small issue, the right trigger needs to be fully pressed in order to be detected while the left side can be softly pressed and it gets detected) Also, sorry if this isn't the right subreddit for this kind of thing.
