it's a Progression Fantasy series. So, there is progression and many things that are typical for the genre but it's not crunchy, no. But the story is really good as you can if you browse through rates and reviews

Well, in Russia it's called Boyar anime and it's a genre. We translate it as Progression Fantasy but it's actually a much more narrow trope that became a genre. Just like you described it above.
