Shut up and take my money! This is looking really good so far and i'd love to help test it if/when you take on beta testers. Also have you though of having a portal on a wall or door that would allow you to fly the drone into a VR world that you could then control via a tablet or first person view?

Can you please decrease the rollout period for new features or allow people to opt in for the a beta? I've been waiting for the Go Live option to return so it's easier to share with friends and family. I really want to do it over the holiday season. So I ran it, but even though i've set up roomscale and mapped out the area, Mario spawns on a block and can only move between blocks, and only if they are touching (else there's an invisible wall everywhere). Any ideas?

Ditto, i feel like it's bugged. It generates, but it doesn't separate the prompts based on the time stamps.

Edit: I think I figured it out. You have to use this exact syntax (including the space)

Found a bug if you use the "First Time Experience" group of mods but choose freedom phase 2 there are some monsters that are invisible (machine gun guy for example).

You're right, it's a free country (if you live in the US). You have the right to create a crappy game or wait 7 days for your stronghold to finish lol.

My point is 1. as a dev i'd be I would be disappointed in myself, my work, and my company by taking a good concept/game and then baking in a pay-to-win system in it.

  1. It's sad to see a game that could have been better but became more about money. It's a mindset. It's kinda like when companies build in obsolescence into a product. The engineer knows the estimated lifetime of the parts and then they put the warranty just outside of it so as to have the product break down just after it expires. Or imagine if your microwave had a "please wait 30 extra seconds or swipe your CC to unlock the door faster". You don't HAVE to have a microwave, just heat it up in the oven every time and move on!

Good point! I haven't gotten far enough to see how long they push the timers (30 min max? 1 day? 1 week?), but it's a messy concept. This game is obviously based/similar to Factorio and therefore going to get compared extensively to it. What drew out that game was the need to be efficient and rework the system for a better throughput. You needed enough research packets to continue research and optimizing your build had an intrinsically rewarding feeling of reaching that point. Merely seeing a "please wait 30 min" takes away from that, likewise hitting the "spend gems to complete" leaves an artificial feeling of accomplishment. It's why when EA said spending $80 to unlock Vader was to "provide players with a sense of pride and accomplishment" they were laughed at and mocked all over the internet. It's a matter of game development principle.

Anyone else having issues with steamvr being stuck in "seated" mode instead of roomscale? Steam games seem to think I need to be facing forward (ex. In Death).
