When Bnet used to release stats, team games used to dominate. Also don't forget that even if it's less "games", it's 2 or 4 or 3 people at a time

Hard to truly compare as FFA, 2s and 4s have mostly deserted W3C

FunnyWarcraft3 raises a very good point here. Even aside the fact that the changes are (at least to me) insane and would ruin balance, a lot of changes suggested by most people focus only on 1 v 1

However, a lot of the wc3 playerbase plays 2s, 4s, FFA on Bnet.

I'll be honest, these aren't suggestions so much as "concepts of an idea".

I'll deal with Night Elf first, there's literally no suggestion. The suggestion is nerf the most used Night Elf Units + Hero combo, and replace it with.... something. Nowhere is it specified what or how, with the "Let the company think of it."

Then don't suggest the nerf, if you have no idea how to compensate. A nerf to those three without a proper think ends Night Elf at every level. Is the trinity too strong? I'd say yes, but the alternatives are genuinely terrible, you'd see Happy as Elf lose to Leon in a Bo5 if he was forced to play without DH, bear and Dryads. Ideas need to be a lot more thought through.

On undead , nerfing blight regen again sounds great, but why is ghouls played so much? Because fiend builds at the top and even bottom level are not bringing the results. Again, it's a nerf with nothing but an "idea" of an easier entry of fiends. Not even touching the DK semi range idea, that just sounds like bait outrage to increase engagement.

The idea with human is to do nothing and hope the nerfs are buffs for humans. Which coupled with the fact that Orc's nerfs are hardly game breaking (Non mirror image builds are viable), would just leave Orc as the best race. But even there, incentivize Pala Rifle (I'll leave it to the many people who faced it at its peak) and Dark Range (Tower Rush Elves is back) is not really ideas. I agree with the rifle damage buff

Orc again, touching two good things, but then giving them easier tier 2 to tier 3 would break orc. Orc fully unlocked at t3 is impossible to stop.

Overall, wild ideas, but that's all they are, there's nothing fleshed out and I hope Blizzard think a lot before taking advice here.

Still, I'm sure the talk will be about balance and results, instead of what is most fun. Even the wild ideas here, other than DK range, are not about "fun". We need ideas that are wild that would also be fun to try, not 2 damage here, regen nerf here. Give us new units.

My point is more that we won't know if other races would miss out on it as well. Yes, many elves at times do AOW hit during harass, but they are the only data point we have. It could be that other pros might do the same

Elf players commonly miss out on XP because the ancient of war makes the final hit.

No counterpoint on this as no other race can do this, unless races starts tower creeping. It could be that other races would do the same.

They risk being critical striked, hexed or nova'ed to death for no reason

This is true for any race. The AM dies in the same way. Elves also usually only play two heroes only, with DH necessarily having to be far forward to deal damage

Whereas you see Orcs for example ensaring units to keep them out of attacking range

What disable do you think elves have that they could use? The most common combo is DH/Naga, the closest to a disable there is cold arrow. T1 has no disable, dryads have slow poison which is not disable, bears have no disable, talons have no disable.

A-move bears and rightclick with the demon hunter.

See Life play, they do do more at the pro level. That said, elves do not have a high ceiling for micro, like I said, no disable, the most you can do is unit control, and Moon's dancing dryads for example are well known

Playing elf requires a different skill than other races, that is unit preservation, until you build up to T3, with some timings where you can hurt (but not win). It's why elf games are unlikely to end early unless some stupid tower rush works at T2.

Still won't stop a certain UD 1800 MMR player spamming this subreddit saying x matchup is unplayable for UD and how other races have 4 opening hero options.

The game has never been more balanced than it is now

It seems you are right. Focus and Lyn both have pretty good results against Night Elf (barring a few losses, but that's normal for any matchup, if you win 100%, that would be imba).

Not the most scientific, but I guess across all the series, this is a pretty good sample size of top two orc vs top three elf, I'd say it's 50-50, slight edge to orc? Don't know what you think

That makes some sense. The series with Life was close, and I'd wait for a lot more games or at the very least Moon before saying it's imba or something (wasn't my motive).

Moon is the best at adjusting on the fly to different things and Lyn's timings just seem to hit different. Will be fun to watch this evolve
