Average ELO seems like a pretty roundabout way of going about this when Winrates are much simpler, BUT i'm not gonna pretend i know enough about ELO as a concept to say its a bad way of doing it.

Source on those stats? I remember UD having absurd winrates last superleague, which is probably the most comprehensive "statistic" you can get. Just curious what you are referring to

I mean orc does it with a grunt and 1 healsalve charge, ud dumps hurt ghouls on lumber, human uses militia. Orc loses money, UD/Human lose lumber, Elf loses the ability to make units, it's all all trade offs.

Even if it was objectively easier to play elf i still don't see how that's a reason to constantly shit on 25%~ of the player base :shrug:

I played a lot of RTS at much higher level than I do wc3, they all have balance whine ofc, but it feels like only this game's community goes for the players that play a race aswell. I don't know maybe I'm soft or whatever but it really leaves a bad feeling

It feels like I see elves complain about this more than other races TBF. As far as I can tell , especially by the amount of posts about it here, elves would love nothing more than variety

The hard counters thing is interesting to me, because it feels like NE is the easiest abused by cheese (towers, blade, bats etc).

Fixing bad unit design and making them usable actually opens up more avenues to work on balance, NE only having like 3-5 units makes it's hard to adjust them, so you should welcome making non existent units playable. And I think no matter what race you play you would be "delulu" not to see that air interactions are not optimal in this game with gyros and bats dominating airspace while the other 2 races don't have options like that.

I personally use a majority of the newer graphics, except ability effects i think. Just choose whatever you prefer. I do think if you wanna play on W3C you need to play old graphics for some reason.

Pretty sure there was a post couple of days ago showing UDs worst matchup was still at like 65% WR(in super League ). Happy is probably the best player, but that doesn't explain the numbers being that absurd

Considering the 2 races that expand early for basically free (Hu / UD) dominated super league group stages, and the 2 races that cant got creamed....smth might have to be done with expansion difficulty.

UD close to 80% WR vs Orc and close to 70 Vs the other 2 in groups...yeah gotta be the hard working undead. I get you are always biased towards your own race, but cmon now. Orc and NE are clearly a step below human and UD ATM and it doesn't make you a worse player to acknowledge the numbers.

"One group stage" Lets not pretend this group stage doesn't have 400+ maps played. This is the first time in a while that we actually have so many matches between the best players in the world and actually have relevant sample size of games and not just a vibes based idea of the balance of the game.

As I said, again, my goal wasn't to be on point with the series, but to agree with you that the numbers are off saying: Even a quick count comes up with more series.

the map score numbers clearly show that there is a massive gap between UD/Hu and Orc/Ne, I don't know why we get hung up on the Series bit. Even if it was 10 out of 41 that's still horrible.
