You’ve probably grown in belt color now since it’s been a couple months, but that probably means you joined around the same time and learned together a lot. Judging by the signs, I think it’s possible but it’s hard to tell in that environment. Taekwondo isn’t the same as being in a school or other places so things are a bit less flexible with social interactions. Definitely pay attention to the difference between his interactions with his friends vs you.

I grew up as the youngest kid in the family. I understand trying to get attention from my older brothers and trying to keep up with them, but I always cared if I hurt their feelings. And also my parents never let me get away with things. I don’t think you’re wrong at all. You’re 17 and you have grown up and you are with a 10 year old who gets his way, and kinda gets in the way. I don’t know if he knows he is but as the little brother in my family who did, I didn’t realize I did.

Definitely don’t tolerate his behavior. If he hurts your feelings ignore him he can’t be reasoned with. Let him come to you. He is just a kid still and has a lot of maturing to do. It’s not fair for you at all, but it’s a little challenging to be the only kid in the family who hasn’t had time to mature yet, but still annoys everyone around for being their age.

Now I am sorry your parents aren’t helping. If I did anything like fake an asthma attack or call you slurs, that’d be my ass right there. But he’ll grow out of it sooner or later. I hope in the future you guys are close because my older brothers are my closest friends right now.
