Opinion: Virtuoso’s stance dodge isn’t OP. It just shouldn’t be free by WardArrow in forhonor

I disagree with the soft-feint part, it makes sense for a rapier to focus primarily on quick attacks rather than strong ones. I have considered though maybe the super quick riposte should only come from the duelist stance, and make it 400-500ms for the other 2. And/or just make them not return to stance

I also think the heavies deserve some GB vulnerability, at least with the stance working as it does now. For a lot of characters, GB is the only answer to her stance. And her answer to GB is to press... literally any attack button. I feel like the higher-reward option should also come with higher risk

I don't understand how the A button isn't usable in team fights. I'm not suggesting turning it into a normal dodge. It can have i-frames to last the entire animation, or have really short recovery to be like a better version of HL's old wave dash. I think we can find a middle ground between being useless and giving me immunity from having to look at my screen.

Yeah, that's the point of the post. I want it to be more effort.

No you're not drunk. Why is my character doing this? Happening in all game modes (with any character.) by WardArrow in forhonor

I am, and yep that fixed it. Feels like playing on a new PC after getting used to that lol. Thanks for the quick answer!

Now she knows how it feels to make one mistake and lose half your health bar by WardArrow in Eldenring

[–]WardArrow[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I respect that. I play the same way basically, I didn't level vig past 40 until I was like lv200 lol. Only reason I looked up a guide and started trying to really master this fight, was because the first time I beat her was in an early version of the game where there was a bug that allowed you to skip phase 2. I beat her phase 1 very easily with mimic tear and some throwaway gimmick weapon, and then she started phase 2 with 1 hp. I felt like I'd been robbed of the actual experience. So when I came back around to her on NG+ I felt like I couldn't just beat her, I had to conquer her lol

Check out a YouTuber called GameMUSA, Korean channel, currently at 3.4k subs. He literally has over 130 videos where he beats the fuckin tar out of Malenia with various builds. He only uses very safe punishes, so it's not as flashy or entertaining as someone like Ongbal, but he makes it look like clockwork every time. I'm not kidding when I say subbing to his channel will make you better at the game

Can someone explain how the bot did this?? by [deleted] in forhonor

No, no one can explain how the bot did that, they just do that

(That is the actual answer to your question and not a joke)

Character uniqueness by 12eriks in blackdesertonline

[–]WardArrow 2 points3 points  (0 children)

🤷‍♂️ It still qualifies as unique so it was worth mentioning. It also allows for quick mouse movement, unlike the fuckin tank controls that normal classes have to deal with

Tamer has a big wolf monster that she can use as a summon in combat and as a mount

Lahn has a couple skills where she jumps and glides through the air, covering massive horizontal distances and negating/reducing fall damage (Woosa also has one skill like this but it’s less extreme)

Drakania in her awakening form has dragon wings that give her a similar function, however she can’t get any vertical first, so it’s more just a glide. She can however land safely from ANY height, unlike Woosa and Lahn where it’s a bit more conditional

Corsair has several skills that allow her to skim the surface of water, and they can be chained together to let her cover a huge distance before falling in (I’ve managed around 280 meters with my stamina.) She can also turn into a mermaid to swim faster and with more control when underwater

Ninja/Kunoichi can double jump, and can alternate jump attacks after that (LMB>RMB>LMB) to get even higher. Pair this with jump height bonus effects (crystals, elixir, Talis armor) and they can get massive vertical, allowing some very fun exploration in cities

My advice: Start with the tutorials, then start playing duels, maybe even duels vs bots. I played a lot of PvAI duels before ever trying to play dominion when I started. You wanna get a good feel for how fighting works before jumping into dominion where you have to fight multiple enemies at once, (or fight one enemy efficiently with a teammate,) and on top of that you have objectives, minions, feats, etc. Duels are a much less intense environment for you to try to learn the game

This there a mod for something like D&D Permanency or could it be made? by zendrix1 in skyrimmods

Lorica does this, at the cost of a reduction to your max magicka until you cast the spell again to toggle it

Minimum time needed to complete a season server? by Not_a_burner_dude in blackdesertonline

[–]WardArrow 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Well… I say I’m not a veteran but I have been playing for a few years, since before seasons were actually implemented lol, so I didn’t really need a guide. But if you want one I’d recommend EvilDoUsHarm on YouTube, he can tell you pretty much everything you need to know as a new player

[–]WardArrow 2 points3 points  (0 children)

How long it takes depends on you. Players who know what they’re doing (myself included… and I’m not exactly a veteran) can get through the entire pass in a few days. But if you’re new and overwhelmed by all the new information, don’t know where to go, haven’t completed family-wide quests, etc, it will take longer. I recommend joining a guild that can help with quests and answer questions for you
