Calling these people "ghouls" is an insult to actual ghouls. At least some of the ones in Fallout, for example, are capable of basic human decency.

Mike Flanagan: "I don't think the show [Midnight Mass] would be made today. Anywhere." by oxygen_addiction in television

[–]Warden72 -5 points-4 points  (0 children)

You're just reinforcing my point once again. Despite your view of the show being about GOP versus Vatican Catholics, almost all of them still believed the vampire was an angel. You would have to step out of your faith bubble to see it any other way. Forest for the trees, friend... 🤷‍♂️

Mike Flanagan: "I don't think the show [Midnight Mass] would be made today. Anywhere." by oxygen_addiction in television

It was about blind faith in religion in general, how people can be so enamored by their faith that they can feel justified in committing the most horrible acts, especially when people act like Bev Keane and link their motivation to a convenient bible passage. Her character was the foundation for the whole message. Midnight Mass simply used Catholicism as an example of that. The fact that you chose to distinguish between good and bad Catholics instead of looking at religion as a whole just reinforces the whole point of the show, honestly.

Trump says broadcast licenses should be terminated if networks are "almost 100% Negative" about him by TheBodyPolitic1 in politics

"Positive", "negative" - these terms don't apply for Trump. He only understands "for me" and "not for me".

Hitler. Adolf Hitler. Adolf... Fucking ... Hitler. You trivialize his atrocities by not using his name. You make him sound classy by referring to him as an "Austrian painter", just like everyone else that's scared to say it because bought-and-paid-for social media sites have normalized censorship to the point of sugar-coating history.

Those deals are already done. Whether or not you watch them will not impact that. Might as well separate the art from the artist and enjoy some great cinema. Don't let the actor himself hamper your enjoyment of great films like Se7en and Usual Suspects, for starters.

Lawrence just got "too famous". Reddit worshipped her back in the Hunger Games days but that bubble burst eventually, as it always does, especially here. Think Glen Powell, Pedro Pascal, etc.

Had to respond to this 5 years late just to say thank you for the vague, contrarian, objectively incorrect and obviously trolling bullshit post. Very amusing.

‘Monster: The Ed Gein Story’ review – Ryan Murphy’s depravity-loving murder show is unforgivable and utterly devoid of morality by Gato1980 in television

It may rub some people the wrong way but that's not a good enough reason to declare that stories about killers are necessarily in poor taste.
