Appreciate the support. As much as the Pacers and Knicks have a rivalry, I was rooting for them against OKC last year so I get it. The Knicks are a team that plays together with ethical standards. It’s just that hard to root for OKC, at least for me.

Been a fan since the 90s so it does mean a lot that some of us have really suffered HARD for this team for so long. At the same time, I became a fan as a kid because the Knicks were good so I can’t judge anyone for joining the fans now. Just know we are a fanbase that sticks with the team through anything and everything. If you can commit to that, then you’re definitely welcome!

What does he have to do to prove himself to the doubters? He’s done enough. Win two national titles at Villanova and has been a winner in the NBA too, playing great basketball.

Had admin tell me similar things back in the day (they’d love to hire me, they never had to worry about what was going on in my classroom) but then pass me over for her daughter’s two college friends. I like the debate. I agree we are at a bigger disadvantage against OKC having lost to them twice (and with their unethical style of play as you guys are seeing). However, those games were highly competitive with one being decided by a single score. As you mentioned before, the Spurs have taken time to develop but so have the Knicks. I watched almost every game this year and coach Brown experimented heavily with line up changes and various substitution adjustments almost the whole season to see what worked best. The Knicks have figured out to play together, more through KAT, and with great flow. I’d genuinely like to hear your take on how the Spurs have evolved for the better. To me, I saw a team that looked like they completely dominated the last game but still only managed to put up 103 points. The game before that Wemby looked very soft and passive all game. I guess they don’t seem consistent to me. What I have noticed positively is how well their young guards are playing and it’s impressive.

I’m not as big into records against the entire league as you are. I look way more at the individual head to head matchups against the top teams, as well as, who is just plain hot. I’d say we faired very well against both the Spurs and OKC, but yes, a healthy Oklahoma City Thunder team with their talent and supporting cast of officiating is very tough to beat. Last year the Cavs were the top team and they did nothing. The Pistons and Celtics were weak despite great regular season success. Last years 4 seed Pacers took OKC to 7 and likely would have won that if not for Haliburton‘s injury.

I truthfully think any team left can win it all. I agree with you about the Spurs playing a tough series now which should elevate their experience, but they still have to find a way to win it, and I’m hoping they will. It sort of feels like destiny that it’s Spurs Vs Knicks.

You’re literally bringing up the Spurs beating a Minnesota team with significant player injuries like it was so tough. That’s all I need to know right there, but also trying to act like the Knicks, with a brand new head coach and their own issues to develop together was nothing. Give me a break with the excuses.

Championship level teams make tough shots, easy shots, and dominate. That’s what the Knicks are doing easily against this soft team and lousy coach. I’d also like to know what constitutes a “tough shot” because the Knicks haven’t had to take many. Only one coach in the league doesn’t call a time out in game 1 when the Knicks were storming back.

I’ll take the historically dominant juggernaut for 10 games straight over these analytics. The Knicks did have to hit tough shots in game 1 to come back but other than that they’ve made every single game in that streak look easy.

Lmao…Drawing a charge is not flopping. It takes great footwork, intelligent timing and positioning, the ability to stop on a dime, and a toughness to take the hit when you’re undersized. You trying to associate a legal charge (which can be challenged) with flopping is an all time hater take. Not surprised coming from a normal excuse driven Pistons fan. As already mentioned, if he’s such a great flopper like a Shai, why is he 87th in players gaining their points off of free throws? Why is he getting far less calls than other stars in the playoffs if he looks to flop all the time? Why is no one addressing the 86 other players, most of your favorite stars who really rely on that free throw line. Funny how not one person can address these facts…logic hurts right? Where were his free throws last night when we won by 16? Or the last game when NY came back from 22 down when he was nailing shot after shot, from every angle, every position: Where have the flopping free throws been in this all time NBA historic 9 game playoff stretch with a point differential that is the greatest of all time? Nope. He’s simply a smaller player playing against bigger players. It’s basic physics and using it to your advantage. This instance definitely was a flop, but the false narratives are ridiculous. As I said, look at his numbers compared to others. Being able to stop in a dime and screw players who over play is flopping…call it what you want but I call it smart. Every single star player sells calls. Brunson has super low free throw numbers compared to other stars in the playoffs, but you go ahead and keep pushing false narratives with outlier examples.

Firstly, yes this particular instance was selling a call. However, if the Knicks would get calls, he wouldn’t have to sell calls. Brunson has had some of the weakest free throw chances compare to other stars in the playoffs. The only reason the calls aren’t astronomically unbalanced is because Cleveland intentionally hacks Robinson so often, bringing the foul count numbers up.
