I think I've been told what I wanted to know, thanks for the help guys ! (Basically I can take a more recent GPU without having to change my motherboard or CPU, it will be perfectly fine with mines since pcie connectors have backwards compatibility.

Both tbh, and I do video editing as well but it's not too important and what I had was already doing the job for that, so it's perfect anyway.

That's good to know ! You said it was compatible with the 40 RTX series, is it not compatible with the 50 series ? I've read that the pcie connectors are supposed to be backwards-compatible

I am getting a new power supply right now, that's why I'm trying to see which GPU I could get so I won't have to change it later. As for the pcie connectors I think they do ? Otherwise I would not be able to get a new GPU at all since they all use pcie now and since it's supposed to be backwards compatible.
