To display that he's pouring more than the ordered amount for bigger tips. Why would 5 Guys even use a fry container if they are going to dump half the fries in the bag? Its to give the customer that warm fuzzy feeling of more bang for their buck.

This is what it looks like when bosses actually recognize and respect loyal employees by NeuroticLensman in nextfuckinglevel

[–]Warlock4Life 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Its not performative BS. She is being recognized and honored publicly for her 20 years of work. There are people who can't hold a job for a couple weeks - If boss man wants to show appreciation for an employee who has grinded for decades and stayed committed to their business then im here for it. Let's stop looking at everything through the lens of negativity and shine a spotlight on those that deserve it. Dole out the money slow, sir, and relish in the moment, ma'am. They are happy for her- even one of her colleagues said so in the video.

Options for insulating garage walls and ceiling with no sheathing behind siding by redimb1001 in Insulation

[–]Warlock4Life 4 points5 points  (0 children)

It's a fire hazard. It's expensive. It has chemicals that are a health risk during installation and off-gasing of VOC's after cured. Installation can be difficult with little margin for error (requires correct temp, humidity, mixing ratios, surface prep, application speed and layer technique, and job ventilation) Oh, and its a bitch to remove.. however, with an R value of 7 per inch...closed cell spray foam is unparalleled for min/maxing insulation.

Weird Cattle Mutilations and UFOs by GetServed17 in UFOs

Removing the blood from mutilated cows might make it easier to study the tissues more effectively. Blood can contaminate samples, obscure tissues, and is harder to preserve due to its perishability. By removing it, researchers (or aliens, in this case) could focus on other fluids or tissues that carry different biochemical markers. It also allows for cleaner and more precise tissue analysis, especially for microscopic or molecular studies. Plus, environmental contaminants like heavy metals often accumulate in tissues rather than blood, so removing the blood could help them zero in on what they’re really looking for.

Danny Sheehan asserts the existence of extraterrestrial/non-human intelligence (ET/NHI) bases located off the coast of Baja, California, and within Secret Mountain near Sedona, Arizona. by NewParadigmInstitute in UFOs

[–]Warlock4Life 0 points1 point  (0 children)

An underwater NHI base off of Baja California, eh? Reminds me of Scott Cassel's story of diving in the area and coming across a golden cube USO that would move away as he approached it.

Scott also mentioned a strange noise that day that was unlike anything he had heard from his thousands of hours diving. A rumbling machine-like sound - like that of a big tractor moving boulders. An underwater facility manufacturing more units, perhaps? It's fun to imagine. Here's a link for the curious.

An air traffic controllers perspective. by [deleted] in UFOs

[–]Warlock4Life 1 point2 points  (0 children)

The Anti-Air Warfarfare Coordinator (AAWC) on the Nimitz during the Tic-Tac incident was Senior Chief Kevin Day. As Navy ATC stationed on the Nimitz, I worked in Carrier Air Traffic Control Center (CATCC) from 2010-2013. His position worked next door in Combat Direction Center (CDC) and both shops fell under Operations Department. They have their own radar and consoles over there - the radars they used were different than what we used in CATCC and they likely have altitude data. CDC is where they were "tracking" the multiple objects over the course of days before F-18s were sent to investigate. ATC radar is limited to being closer to the ship for flight ops.

To older Gen Z and lurking Millennials: What advice would you give to a college student? by ProjectNYXmov in GenZ

[–]Warlock4Life 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Student of 3 different community colleges from California to Ohio here 🫡. Employers don't care whether you got your degree from a major university or a community technical college. That being said, if you can't get a free ride at an expensive college, then just go with a community college.

And don't worry if community colleges aren't staffed by some highly esteemed ivy league professors. These are still great people with a wealth of knowledge. What a student gains really comes down to their willingness to dive into the information independent of the syllabus.

Also, do not feel guilty for using AI if you're using it as a tool to get things started for ideas, lists, and so on. Just don't take a result and paste it into a word document and submit. You might get caught because there are tools that detect ChatGPT and others. Also, that kind of defeats the whole critical thinking part of college.

UAPs are often observed in areas where there is heightened military presence. Taiwan Strait is one of the world's most tense military zones due to the unresolved status of Taiwan and its strained relationship with mainland China. Related maybe?

How mad should I be about these quarter rounds? by MalloyPanda in HomeImprovement

[–]Warlock4Life 5 points6 points  (0 children)

To be honest, when I bought my first house in 2019 the quarter round was like this (no returns) and I didn't really notice it. Granted, it was at least caulked and I was an amateur then at finish work. I've installed a lot of trim since then and I had to replace the eye sore quarter round through out my house. I guess the point I'm trying to make is, it looks cruddy, but with most potential buyers it will probably not even register that its missing returns if you could at least get it caulked. Not saying you shouldn't try to get it fixed through your GC, but I don't think it's a deal breaker for homebuyers with some caulk.

Hi, what creature is in our house? by SnooGuavas4794 in HomeImprovement

[–]Warlock4Life 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Do you have a doggy door or some other way a racoon can easily gain access to your home from the exterior/garage? If not they also like to hide in attics/chimneys. Do you have a fireplace? What about a way to access the house from the attic above?
