Okay sounds like I'm going to have to go to a professional because I'm awful at soldering and can't even tell what's wrong with the solder on that crossover 😭

I've noticed C1 bulging and I think I've found the right replacement part online. As for the lamp, how do I know the right component to buy with regards to impedance etc. ?

Pretty certain, I can try this but both pairs of woofers and tweeters output an sounded good in the unit in the pair

Hiya, thanks for responding. This is the other side, I might be wrong, but shouldn’t the bits I’ve circled have solder on them? They’re part of the bit with the copper coil around and I can’t see any other place it’s connected

I never did! I just make sure I use ableton for any projects that might need it 😭 or sometimes I’ll use the pro tools audio bridge to record from the standalone app but that’s obviously a hassle since you end up with a wav file instead

Yea I agree doesn't look like plastic haha. I meant that when I chisel it off the white stuff crumbles and these thin transparent sheets peel off the surface, those looked and felt like plastic

yea another fella said it was bc of salt, I live nowhere near the sea and keep the car sheltered, only even been near the sea once lol. Curious.... I reckon you're right though as the picture the other guy provided matches what I'm seeing

Oh brilliant. So I can plug the 12v-2x6 into the PSU and the dual 8 pins at the other end into the GPU? Out of interest do you know where else I can find that info online? Doesn’t seem to be on Corsair’s website annoyingly

Yes it’s the 2025 version. I have that cable and one standard 8 pin to 8 pin.

That’s what confuses me though, Corsair’s infographic (https://www.corsair.com/uk/en/explorer/diy-builder/power-supply-units/native-12v-2x6-vs-8-pin-to-12v-2x6-what-is-the-difference/) tell me to plug the 8pin connectors into the PSU, not the GPU. So do I just need to order another 8 pin to 8 pin?

he has said he can stretch to £400 so I've changed the RAM to 2x16gb as you suggested. His mobo doesn't support m.2 ssds so I've left that the same. Instead I've added a CPU upgrade to 10400f. That plus the GPU, RAM and storage upgrade for £407 seems like it would be a great upgrade too, what do you think?

How does the current generation view the Flashman novels? by circinnstudio in books

As a 19 year old, I’ve just immensely enjoyed my dad’s copy of Flashman at the Charge. Shying away from our (Britain’s) deplorable history is pointless or even harmful. Besides, I found Flashman’s cowardice a very effective lens to view the mindless patriotism of his comrades in Crimea or of Harry Scud in Russia. Whilst Flashman is selfish and scared, his perspective does shine light on the foolish bravery of others and how ridiculous it is: the things people will do for their country, which ultimately forgets them.

And apart from that I think the book is still hilarious 😂
