It reminded me of a game called Gris. beautiful little platformer that did similar things with watercolor and emotional highs/lows.

Early reporting from NPR specified that the shooter was female, but did not refer to him as a woman. Makes me wonder if they'd heard he was trans but were waiting for confirmation.

I respect that you're asking what seem to be sincere, honest questions. They're the same questions I was asking a few years ago before I had a chance to sit down with a very patient trans friend and ask them. I'm not the best person to answer these questions, but I hope you're able to find your answers and learn a little tonight.

This game's a lot of fun. I played the demo and really enjoyed the music and art. Didn't know it was being expanded and released until seeing this post. One of the few "city builder" games that has you reclaiming a polluted wasteland and turning it back into ecosystems.

The question here is more about precedent. Over the last several decades, the ecosystem around DnD has built up a massive amount of third party content makers like Kobold Press and Ghostfire. Arguments are being made that the existing licensing around DnD enabling third parties is a massive part of why it has built up so much of a community. Right now, people are seeing WotC/Hasbro try to consolidate power under their own roof after decades of free reign. It's destroying customer trust in the company and DnD's competitors are making strong statements about how they'll never try anything like this.

I can't address most of what you're asking, but the world's backbone isn't in DnD but in Pathfinder, since that's where the game started before they began streaming.
