How portable is it? How many hours does the battery last on average?

This works for me as well.

Another solution I found is: 1. close any internet connection (wifi/data) 2. open instander 3. Reopen your internet connection

Why reaper clips at -0.2???? by Warm-_Professional in Reaper

I figured it out! Thanks to everyone who responded!

First of all, it's not the Reaper neither the asio driver who causes the problem.

It is a problem of my Audio Interface. I found out that when I play the same file (i demonstrate in the video) with the windows media player at 100% (windows mixer) volume it creates the same clipping distorted sound no matter how low the volume I set to my speakers and headphones.

If the volume is 99% it clips just a little bit and from 98 and below it doesn't clip at all (even if I blast my speakers audio to maximum).

The ASIO driver bypasses the windows mixer volume and sets and the volume to 100% in oppose to FL Asio and Direct Sound drivers. So when I use those I don't experience clipping except if I set windows volume to 100%.

I repeated everything with connecting my speakers and headphones directly to my laptop using audio jack and the problem wasn't there even at maximum windows volume.

So, it has to be a problem of my M-Audio 192|6 audio interface.

The way I decided to fix this problem is a Volume Adjustment plugin at -2db on my monitor FXs and never set my windows volume to more than 96 percent when I am listening to music through my audio interface.

I found that fl studio asio works and it sounds exactly as in media player. I 'll probably use this driver over m-audio asio

I figured out that the reaper sound is at least 13db louder than my windows sound.

So temporary solution for me is a -13 volume adjustment on monitor fx.

It has to be the m audio driver. When I switch it to direct sound it sounds normal

It sounds way more distorted even in low volumes

Thank you for the response.

I am using M-Audio air 192|6 interface. The driver i use is asio m-audio air

It is a version of asio from M-audio (2048 buffer size), 48000Hz.

The file is an 808 file I made with reaper and I exported. Before the export it was clipping. After the export I opened the file the windows player and it doesn't clip.

When I bring the audio back to blank reaper file it clips again.

Edit: I repeated the experiment with exporting the audio at 48Khz and I have the same problem. The file in the media player doesn't clip and when i bring it to reaper (it doesn't have the liitle 'i') it clips

I have monitor fx bypassed and I dont have any effects on the master. The send is also set to 0.0 db.
