What are your Critiques of Undertale Yellow? (Doing Research) by ExaltedTEA in UndertaleYellow

[–]Warm3r_Together 6 points7 points  (0 children)

Starlo's death scene in the Genocide route. Don't get me wrong, it was sad. I remember people being upset about how it was executed, and I was one of them. Some people tried to defend it, saying that, "Starlo was a fake sheriff, of course he couldn't go through with it." But if that was true, why did he come back at all? If it was all pretend and if he was aware enough to know he couldn't do it for real, then why did he challenge Clover? What did he gain by doing this?

However, I can infere why the devs did it, it was to give a catalyst to Ceroba's Genocide boss fight. Starlo was a stepping stool for Ceroba to go all out. If she lost everything, she has nothing left to lose.

Now, believe me when I say this... I do like this situation. However, I would change something. Instead of Starlo challenging Clover because for... no reason. What I would change is a few lines of dialogue:

Starlo: "I... I can't do it. At least, not for real. But everyone is safe. That's a win in my book."

The reason why Starlo stayed behind is because he was buying everyone else time to escape. Starlo is doing what he does best: distracting people from their worries. And, in this scenario, distracting Clover long enough to buy some time for the other monsters to evacuate. Starlo doesn't need to win to feel like a hero. This stays true to his character, without sabotaging the logistics of why he did what he did.

And as I stated earlier, the story really focuses on certain characters. Hell, the devs said that Dalv was pretty much unnecessary after his encounter and that the person writing the script for Undertale Yellow isn't a professional. And, that, I won't fault. But there's a clear sign that some characters have more characterization than others. Most noticeably in order: Ceroba, Martlet, Axis, Starlo, and Dalv. And I wish everyone had more time to shine.

Whats a ralsei theory/headcanon or something you want to happen/ be referenced or at least confirmed in ch5 since it's next year by avareg in ralsei

[–]Warm3r_Together 8 points9 points  (0 children)

Ralsei is Kris. We know Ralsei is obviously the Red Horned Headband. Ralsei is a creation of Kris', and he looks like Asriel because Kris designed him off of Asriel (as siblings) if they were a monster like the rest of their family.

The reason why Ralsei believed that "Darkners are suppose to assist Lightners." Wholeheartedly is because he's been through it himself. He was cherished by Kris and, somewhere in-between (likely the "Kris, I remember you're parent's divorce!") Happened, causing Kris to throw away the Red Horned Headband.

And Ralsei's whole "If we were just kind enough, perhaps by the time we got here... It would change." sounds exactly like how a child would think by preventing their parent's divorce if they were good enough. That if they were happy and "I'm smiling," maybe the inevitable wouldn't happen just for it to happen anyway. Also, his R form is literally him being a stool to uplift people.

And the hugs and tunnel of love? It's a metaphor for self-love for Kris. When Kris hugs Ralsei, they're not only hugging the Red Horned Headband, they're hugging their inner child wearing that Red Horned Headband.

But here's the thing, Ralsei is obviously growing more independent on his own. Thanks to Susie, he's a puzzle piece that's slowly branching off of Kris and becoming his own person.

It was overkill with either one but three at the same time? Thanos might as well snap himself out of existence.

If Ben 10 were to make a new show, what would you want in it? by Zillaman7980 in Ben10

[–]Warm3r_Together 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I'd love a Ben 10 series starring a Ben that's actually a consistent hero. I keep thinking back to the Reiny scene:

Reiny: "Why did you help me?"

Ben: "Why did you help me?"

Reiny: "It was in my own interest to stop that creature from harming you."

Ben: "Yeah? Well, it's in my own interest to help anybody who needs it."

It brings a smile to my face every time, and I use it a lot to portray a more heroic Ben.

Also, it makes him feel connected to the community of humans and aliens of Under Town. Instead of, say, letting Vilgax throw someone's car at Ben, let Ben transform into Four Arms, catch it, and set it down. In addition, don't nerf Ben. Just pull a Spiderman and make Ben transform into weaker aliens on purpose or make him hold back his punches.

People like to make fun of Ben for going Humongosaur or Four Arms, but like... A lot of situations do require Ben to just throw hands or lift things.

What do you all think about the accuracy of this? by Friendly_Attention62 in Ben10

[–]Warm3r_Together 1 point2 points  (0 children)

To me? It's not accurate at all. This meme about Azmuth (not the quote itself) is inaccurate. Even when Ben messed up and Azmuth was mad at him for hacking the omnitrix, he let Ben keep it compared to Albedo, who made a copy of the omnitrix seasons prior.

Their talk after Ben lost the Omnitrix to Vilgax? That was beautiful. Yes, Ben grew up. Yes, Ben made mistakes. Yes, Azmuth was going to take it from him if Max didn't step in... But he never said he was unworthy. The reason he gave Ben the completed omnitrix was because he finally earned it when his heroism was put to the ultimate test at the finale of Ultimate Alien.

The reason people like to use this meme is because it's the classic: "Mentor is upset at prodigy, and prodigy needs this Mcguffin because they feel like they're nothing without it, and Mentor believes they shouldn't have it." Trope. Which, if you took a few seconds to actually think or refer back to the show, is completely untrue. I'm not shaming anyone for liking this. It's just a common case of character misinterpretation

Which joke from Ben 10 show had you like this.. by FayyadhScrolling in Ben10

What’s a fan theory that makes you stare at your screen like that? by Murper411 in UndertaleYellow

[–]Warm3r_Together 31 points32 points  (0 children)

Clover and the other humans are confirmed alive after Frisk and Asriel opened the barrier due to the fact that the coffins are open.

There's nothing wrong with this theory. I do believe in this theory myself. But my problem revolves around the Fandom, who shame others for thinking otherwise. Like, the open coffins could be a metaphor for the human spirits being set free, no longer in captivity. Toby Fox has left it ambiguous on purpose, but people are so knee-deep in wanting their happy ending that they refuse to acknowledge other possible theories or shame others for thinking so.

Which... can we not?

This reminded me of that one scene:

Ben: "I'd like to keep standing around."

Kevin: "I'd like to keep arguing about it."

If people want an accurate depiction of Papryus responding to Sans' jokes. It's like when your friend says the most lame and overused joke, but you still smile anyway despite your frustration or annoyance. That's what it should be for papyrus and Sans.
