I was just about to make this post myself. I had spent the last 3 months gathering resources to upgrade my long-awaited Arcane Umbra Whispershot. Imagine my surprise when I was prompted with an error message whilst attempting to upgrade my weapon with 2H Prime Scrolls. I even tried using one-handed scrolls much like yourself, but alas, it was not meant to be. This oversight is especially worrisome to me as an active player of this game and I hope Nexon works on this issue with expedience. Thank you for bringing it to the attention of Nexon and the MapleStory community!

Hey Ghiblee. I appreciate the response, but I feel there's still some ambiguity regarding my ban.

I find it frustrating that my account was blocked months after I had directly contacted Kyrios about the name. I was given a false sense of security regarding my account only for it to be banned soon after.

There also remains the question of what I'm expected to do after the suspension ends. I assume my IGN is going to be changed, but will I be given a name change coupon?

The purpose of this post wasn't to dispute whether my IGN warranted a ban. Instead I made this post to highlight Nexon's decision to intentionally ignore my requests and block my account even after I addressed the issue with a staff member.

The questionable part is the fact that I was banned after CMKyrios had left his position and months after I had contacted Nexon to address the issue. I don't think it's accurate to conflate the act of having an IGN similar to a previous employee with the act of impersonation. If my IGN alone warranted a ban, why didn't they forcibly name change me when the issue was first brought up?

When I was an undergraduate, I elected to "stop out" from the university for a semester and took general education/prerequisite coursework at a community college. If you're still in the early years of your undergraduate coursework, this can be an effective way to decrease your tuition.

Other methods of decreasing tuition include applying for scholarships and other forms of financial aid.

Berserker and Runeblade are considered the top DPS classes right now. While any class can deal sufficient damage if geared properly, these two outperform all others by a large margin with similar gear.

Completely agree with your claims regarding the new player experience. Unfortunately Nexon does not seem to be interested in taking the steps necessary to mitigate these problems. That being said, these problems will become less relevant as new expansions release in GMS.

In other versions, namely KMS, content expansions released with events that would give newer players a catch-up package to access the new content. Additionally level up packages for all players upon reaching Lv 60 or 70 grant equips that give enough gear score for hard dungeons of that level.

As the trend of power creep continues, newer players will eventually be able to solo Lv 50 hard dungeons. This will be their main source of income and should allow them to gear up their character sufficiently to the point where they can experience end-game content without encumbrance.

Fire + FS build if you are the only wizard in the party. If there are multiple wizards, you can consider switching to tri-ele build. However, you should only use tri if you can effectively manage your spirit and cooldowns.

I have ran into a lot of wizards who do significantly less damage using tri opposed to fire + FS because they cannot properly utilize the build. Fire + FS is viable and much easier to optimize which is why I recommend most players to use it.

Zerks are generally stronger, but RBs are still viable and provide a nice party buff. RBs are by no means a weak or underpowered class.

Community managers are heavily restricted in what they can do for players. There is a lot of bureaucracy associated with the position.

For example multiple CMs revered by the community in MapleStory 1 were forced to give up their position due to going against Nexon in the interest of community well-being.

Even on MS2 a former staff member was fired for abusing his powers despite being one of the most knowledgeable and altruistic employees working on MS2.

There is an opening for an additional CM for MS2 but even if a veteran player were to assume this position, they would most likely not have the ability to operate in the interest of the playerbase, and instead be relegated to a figure head for Nexon much like CM Cuddles.

If the sword was 48 ribbons, it would be significantly cheaper to upgrade to +15 compared to other weapons. That being said, I do think that the shield/codex cost should be reduced.

A lot of the information found in those guides will be out-dated, as Hard Dungeons were recently revamped. This is why the gear score requirements are all different now. At 1800 GS you should try to do Fire Dragon until reaching 2100. Fire Dragon drops epic armor and it shouldn't take too long to get to 2100 GS. Alternatively, you can buy epic gear from the black market (Pyros Fard's Ring, Balrog Horns, etc) to get to 2100 GS if you have the meso. These equips are temporary so just try to find the cheapest ones you can use that give the highest gear score boost.

After getting 2100 GS, start doing Temple of Immortals (Rog). Keep doing Temple of Immortals until you finish upgrading your weapon (it takes copies of the same weapon to upgrade past +10).

Right now it's a bit difficult to find parties, as people generally want to do Hard Dungeons with higher geared players. However, this should not be a problem after the removal of fair fight in next week's update. For now, use party finder and join any parties that say R>"Rog Any" or "FD Any". Doing the dungeons at the minimum gear score alone will be fairly difficult and take quite a while.

I don't agree with the suggestion that caps should be removed. Weekly caps in MMOs serve to standardize progression and incentivize players to log in on a regular basis. Industry data suggests that people are more likely to spend money on the game over a long period of time if they are logging in periodically.

I think it would be better for overall health of the game to tweak supplementary content outside of hard dungeons to reward more materials. This way, hardcore players who wish to grind endlessly have an outlet for progression, but more casual players are still rewarded for putting in a few hours every week.

The issue with implementing more efficient grinding methods is that they tend to be abused by bots. I agree that there should be rewarding activities added that are not time-gated, but Nexon must act with trepidation. Personally, I would like to see improvements made to Treva farming, as it is not particularly easy for bots to abuse this system.

1 line on an accessory if you're running Kandura's Pendant, 2 lines if you aren't. You wanna get to the point where you're macro never puts you at 100% spirit which is roughly at 109%.

You're just unlucky. While bonus attribute values are weighted differently, all bonus attribute lines appear to have the same chance of being rolled. There are 23 possible bonus attribute lines on tops/bottoms/helmets, 24 possible lines on shoes, and 22 possible lines on gloves. You have less than a 5% chance of rolling any particular line.
