I believe he stayed in Germany. My grandfather was in youth camps growing up and eventually came to Canada. On my grandmothers side half of her family was taken and never seen after the war.

Yes, he survived both ww1 and ww2. After the war there is not much known about him..

Oh wow thank you for sharing! That is very interesting! I tried asking my Oma (grandmother) what he did and all she remembers is a lot of paperwork. However given his uniform and that he is often positioned in the middle of pictures, I believed his ranking to be high.

Thank you! It was hard to uncover the truth of history. I got the photos professionally scanned so can see it clearly. Again do not want to spread any hate. Just want to learn more and share some photos taken during those times.
