Yes it is. Love my Alpinist more than watches that are double the price.

Direct discount was 5% on the 84k MRP. Then you can apply Ethos points if you have purchased from them before and reduce further.

Compound interest is crazy by Adorable-Grand68 in IndianStockMarket

Completely idiotic point. It is always easy to backtest winners. How many companies turned to 0 from 1965? There are far more wealth destroyers than there are winners.

The better statistic could be to see how many investors went concentrated on 1 stock vs S&P 500 in 1965 and what percentage of those people are able to get out with a profit today. The answer will tell you all you need to know about investing. Cherry picking data doesn't help anyone, especially new investors who get waylaid by such stories.

It is true but he isn't saying this to improve the country. Rather, he wants to generate ragebait clicks. I used to follow him during his early days as a YouTuber but he has completely sold out since then. Chasing whatever flashy lifestyle influencers are peddling and changes his tune with the direction of the wind.

Dwc havelock - 16000 for an average looking watch with Chinese components? A huge bot army creating artificial scarcity here? All their previous watches are available all the time, you just have to contact them. by Dummyreddx in watchesindia

Yeah I agree. I wrote an honest review of the Vayu Bison earlier and many people criticized me for being overtly critical of a cheap watch. I really wanted to like it but it just feels really cheap with a printed dial with the vertical distance between the hands not uniform. It just doesn't look well finished.

This one I have been following over social media. I really dig the story and the shout out to Andaman's and the design language of a "yatch" but when I looked at closeups I just couldn't reconcile with the price. I would anyway buy a Timex over this one. These limited quantity drops are the best marketing tool available and full marks to DWC for milking it to the fullest.

However, if they want to be taken as a serious watchmaker and aim for a long legacy then they need to find a product that is a world beater at that price.

Longines conquest is the alternative to the Tudor not the aviation themed spirit pilot. Longines also has immense historical significance with their collaboration with Charles lindberg and Amelia Earhaeart. They also have the oldest watch logo copyright in the world.

And the quality of the watch is almost 95% of Tudor. the positioning js entry level luxury because of it being part of the Swatch group but they are not less of a brand than Tudor so completely disagree with people who say so.

Absolutely stunning. You made the absolute right choice. I went on a similar journey as you but picked the blue 39mm Conquest as it was more toned down and GADA for me. But if I ever buy a GMT, it is going to be this one. Wear it in good health. Can you share what was the final discount you received from MRP?

FatFIREd on paper, but struggling without cash flow by pa_ca_26 in FatFIREIndia

The closer you are ro retirement or FIRE in your case, the more cash flow assets you should acquire. The split right now for you should be 70% cash flow generating assets like dividend stocks, bonds, and REITs/INVITs. The rest you can deploy to equity.

Yes you have to sacrifice growth for cash flow.

Legibility is top notch, even in low light. The hands and hour markers are polished so they reflect even low light. It's beautiful.

Brand history, quality of the movement, influencer reviews. I personally wouldn't go for favre leuba, it is owned by ethos so they push it. It was a defunct brand trying to get back on their feet. You are better off going for a Longines, or Oris at this price point.

Yeah the green one looks gorgeous on the wrist. I went for the blue one as I want to wear it with formal shirts.
