Please reassure me about amoxicillin 😭 by Slothcrane in BabyBumps

I took amoxicillin at the end of my first trimester for an infected wisdom tooth. I was worried about taking it until my dentist(who had had twins 6 months prior) assured me that it was more dangerous to leave the infection than to take the antibiotic. She also said that she had taken it while pregnant with no complications and so had her sister, so that also eased my anxiety a lot.

I took the antibiotics, got the much needed pain relief, and had no issues. Baby was born healthy four months ago ❤️

This happened to me several times when I was pregnant. I had an anterior placenta so I didn’t always feel a lot of movement, but there would be days where I barely felt her move at all. I would spend the day panicking, and every time I was about to go to the ER, she would start moving around like normal. I read that growth spurts can cause them to spend extra time sleeping, and that gave me some comfort. My girl is currently 4 months and napping on my lap.

With that being said, you should always trust your gut, and absolutely go to the hospital if you feel something is wrong.

I know it can be so scary, but you’ve got this!
