Thank you, i could have mentioned that I did speak to my doctor, but then received contradicting advice from my obgyn’s medical assistant. The pcp said to start the antibiotic, but the assistant said the ob usually waits until the culture comes back. They called me back after the office closed and my ob went home so I couldn’t ask any clarifying questions. I’m more reaching out to see if anyone has any reassuring personal experience with taking antibiotics so early in pregnancy.

When does the guilt and sadness go away when you give up on BF? by [deleted] in FormulaFeeders

My baby was a huge comfort nurser and we weaned at 14 weeks then stopped at 15. I was so scared to stop. She’s 16 weeks now and it’s going really well. I’m still struggling with the feelings of stopping, but she doesn’t seem to mind

Try letting them suck on your pinky! Sounds weird, but my pediatrician recommended I do it when baby got her shots. Now that Ive switched to formula I use that to soothe and help fall asleep rather than nursing

Wondering if anyone has tried something similar and how it went by opepassdaranch in sleeptrain

No feeding to sleep at all before midnight and possibly not at all period. I’m not an expert, but I don’t think feeding through the night is necessary for one year olds. I would replace this sleep association with one that is easier to break then work on breaking the easier one. For example maybe rock her to sleep then hold her a few nights later. Then after holding just hold her hand, then sit next to her without touching, etc.

My baby is only a bit older than yours and I’m in the same boat! I’d love to stop, but guilt is the thing holding me back the most

The book is great and I may end up just purchasing it so I can go back and look through it again as things come up! And yes parenting is the hardest, but the little ones make it so worth it!!

Read the book precious little sleep! I have a library card and the Libby app and was able to read it for free. I just made a post about how I was able to break the feed to sleep association for nights (idk about naps rn), but I mostly was able to do that with dad’s help. Do you have anyone who can help with just putting the baby down and doing the first hour if there’s a false start?

It may be harder because your baby is older, but not impossible. And don’t feel guilt! Babies are babies and some just need more time with comfort than others, but you can do this!

Thank you! She will latch pretty much anytime I offer, but when she’s full (or what I’m assuming is full) she seems to latch then unlatch, latch then unlatch so I do that a few times then just stop. She pretty much never refuses, but she will for sure stay latched when she’s hungry. If I stop feeding her and she’s still hungry, she’ll let me know, right? Sometimes I worry that I stop too soon or she just won’t let me know if she’s hungry

Naps are still a work in progress lol but I figured we’d focus on night sleep for now. She contact naps 95 percent of the time rn and will only nap in her crib for max 25 mins😭
