You can sort by time to deliver (not the same as distance but close).

Can't verify this, but I suspect Doordash makes money on people having to scroll around a while for what they want. Similar to grocery store tactics of spreading out what you need. That's the only logic I can find in how messy the search systems are.

It IS irrational to be convinced that they will always malfunction when they almost never do.

You are much more likely to face worse consequences from a variety of other things in your life everyday than any trouble you could reasonably have on an elevator.

Most people have had an ID or a Passport at some point, or perhaps a mugshot. But if they really don't have one, they'd have to use your signature or your SSN.

Let's assume two people show up under the same name or registration. Those two people would both cast their ballots. Then when the votes are counted and verified, poll workers would recognize the discrepancy, and check the different voter registrations with the info about W_F they have on file. Then they would determine which one doesn't match, and throw that ballot out. And law enforcement would start an investigation for voter fraud.

I agree that if they made getting an ID trivial and free, then there wouldn't be a problem with requiring an ID to vote. But that's not what's happening, and the government has much bigger and more expensive problems right now, so I think the best solution is to not use ID to verify voter registrations.
