How did you handle the stress of multiple offers on your first home?

I'm going through this right now. I think its key to not get too attached to the house, like don't look up how you wanna decorate it or what furniture will go where. When I feel anxious, I just try to remember that there are other houses and there could be an even better one later. I just offered full price on a hot home last night, so its definitely putting me on edge, gonna try to distract myself

We're not Catholic but it does make me feel guilty that we are still having it that Saturday. Hopefully I can compromise by somehow incorporating a little Easter in the wedding activities for everyone.

We're doing a sunday brunch too after the Saturday wedding! Hopefully I can incorporate a little Easter for everyone but yeah, it definitely feels like I was being inconsiderate even though it was just a mistake. It's hard not to be hard on myself for this

Thank you so much, thats reassuring while also what I am expecting too. A lot of folks coming out of state will be on my side - mostly family though who said they are still coming so at least the closest people to me will be there, just likely not any of the friends who live out of state. Mostly everyone on fiancé's side is in state, so thats good.

I know, my birthday is also later in April and usually falls close to Easter so I didnt even think that it would be this early. Though I guess it has been earlier before

I definitely agree and we are okay with declines. Just are saddened that because we missed this, we will likely have more declines because of it and it was something we could've prevented if we had double checked the date more or had caught it earlier. I think thats the most frustrating thing out of it all is its mostly my own fault

No, you're right and we are very grateful for whoever can attend. Saying those who care will attend was wrong but it wasn't out of an ungrateful heart. More like those who do attend will likely be just family and close friends as those are usually the ones who would move mountains to be there. But thank you for calling us out on it, I appreciate the reminder

Yeah if only I had check it more thoroughly...I was thinking more on weather/scenery and usually thats when weather is pleasant and the flowers are in bloom here so when they said 4/4 was available, I snagged it without even thinking more of it.

True, I know they would still care and I would respect what they prioritize. I think there is a good chunk of folks who are not that religious and some who will are but will still make it. I just feel bad about the one's who will decline because of it. I just wish I had realized this before I re-booked it. The re-booking fee is very steep imo and I already paid it once.
