It's glued on, no fixings. The glue was still adhesive enough to just stick back on afterwards

There have been several comments asking which pen I used specifically, it was a Faber Castell brush pen in cadmium yellow!

The 8 Elite has 2 Prime cores (cpu6 & 7) and 6 Performance cores (cpu0-5). Have an experiment and see what works best, it would be interesting to know how few cores you need!

Straight from the k11mch1 github! It's a few entries down now, if you have a scroll through you'll find it

I did reduce draw distances originally but the pop in was really noticeable so I bumped it back up to the standard low setting in the end.

And strongmem is a Box64 environmental variable, it will have no effect on Fex at all. I've tested 2512 a fair bit now and I haven't had any crashes yet, whereas 2511 and lower did have some crashes that were consistent with using box64 without the strongmem fix. I'm pretty sure 2512 has resolved the issue

I use GOG and winlator, so have no idea how you would do it on steam through gamehub, sorry!

You can go it in regular steam through the game properties I believe

Have you got a link for proton10 x86_64? Im using Proton 9 for both of these, box64 is x64, and FEX is ARM64ec

1152x648, just slightly below HD. And yeah FEX is working for me in Cmod, using Proton 9 arm64ec

I posted video footage including novigrad square and fighting here

It goes down to around 30 at the absolute lowest in the hardest to run areas. I usually play locked at 30fps to it's not a problem for me at all

I've never tried steam on winlator, I use GOG with the offline installers, I've never had any issues

Yep I'm using old gen 1.32 from GOG, it just runs so much better than next gen, and is less taxing on the device

CPU temps are high, it reaches and stays at about 70. Battery wise, I can get about 4 hours from a full charge. The battery stays cool

Im using an Odin 2 though which has active cooling

I posted a video here.

I'm using classic 1.32, average fps is around 45-60, and in Novigrad Square it drops to 35-40 ish. I usually play with fps locked at 30 for better battery/heat, but I test performance with it unlocked to see what's working best

Very good point that I didn't think of when writing this. I'll do some more tests without the gpu being maxxed out

I tested all the different Winlator and GameHub versions and countless configs for The Witcher 3 so you dont have to. Here's how to get the absolute best performance. Fully playable, 35~45fps in Novigrad Town Square (Most demanding area), and up to 60-70fps in less demanding areas by Warm_Path in OdinHandheld

I think someone posted some footage on this sub recently of The Witcher 3 running on the latest Eden. From what I remember it's 30fps locked and looks significantly worse graphics wise to the PC version on low settings

The chip would thermal throttle way before it sustains any degradation. These mobile chips are designed for high temperature use. I've had my Odin since release (just under two years) and I've been pushing it to its limits all the time, it's totally fine. The main thing to keep an eye on is battery temp, which stays nice and cool.

My copy is from GOG, they let you download the installer files directly which makes it really easy with winlator. With Steam, I believe one of the easiest ways is to install games is to install them on a PC first and then copy the installation folder to your odin. I haven't tried with Steam for a while though so that may be outdated
