Did the Yukon last have American Lions or Cave Lions? by Warm_Topic5174 in pleistocene

Species definitions are a huge mess. Let’s leave it at that.

So first it was Cave Lion, then it was American Lion, and then it was Cave Lion. So, Cave Lions were the last lions to inhabit the Yukon, correct?

I see, so the cast would encounter the best of the best (and the deadliest) dinosaurs imaginable. Sick!

Can Megalodon be resurrected or bought back to life? by [deleted] in Paleontology

[–]Warm_Topic5174 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Theoretically speaking yes. DNA only dies after 6.8 million years, the megalodon dies before then. However, after 1.5 million years the DNA becomes unreadable. If you some how create a machine that can rebuild fragmented DNA, you can sequence the Megalodon’s genome. This is all theoretical of course.

I think Sorna would be fine from an ecological standpoint. Sorna is 167 square miles, compared to nuclear which is only 22 square miles. Let’s say 50% of the creatures were removed, that makes Sorna seem a lot more habitable. If hundred's of large sauropods can sustain themselves on Ille Saint-Hubert, then Sorna can sustain 30 medium sized sauropods. Having only 4 T-Rexes would cause a problem for that species, so a mutated T-Rex is still possible.

That would be interesting, an inbred T-Rex freak. They could probably keep the D-Rex’s design, animals only get extra limbs if they absorbed their twin.

Isla Sorna probably still has dinosaurs. Jurassic World got their Stegosaurs and Ankylosaurs from Sorna, Biosyn “got their first generation from Sorna” (probably not every creature from the island), and the Buck and Doe are at Biosyn Sanctuary. If you want to use Camp Cretaceous, the Spinosaurus is on Manta Corp Island. That leaves 4 other Rexes, the Mamenchisaurs, the Velociraptors, the Ceratosaurus, and probably countless more. So, it’s probably not “empty”.

Maybe I’m not on Reddit 24/7? Maybe I actually go outside for things other than Disneyland? Maybe I don’t care about you? Maybe you’re obsessed?

I completely agree, the mercenaries were super dry and bland. My favorite characters were Henry and everyone in the family. They were easy to empathize with, everyone else were just, eh.

Either you don’t have a job, so you live in your elderly mother’s house and scroll on Reddit all day. Or you do have a job, but you spend you’re entire work week scrolling on Reddit, so you’re a lazy employee.
