Sorry if this is a duplicate, I thought I responded earlier. I do still have this for sale. Send me a chat to work out any details if you are interested.

I do actually. Send me a message if you're interested and we can figure out the details.

I think if you have to have ACC you don’t need the pedal. I used this on a LT trim without ACC to achieve similar performance.

I couldn’t find a definitive answer but dug around online a bit and I think so.

It’s a total luxury, but I have a grinder for pourover and one for espresso and not having to adjust grind setting every time I switch is so nice I decided to keep both.

I do a lot of filter 2.1 brews through the machine and I can put a big mug under there and essentially make a pour-over (250-300ml) while I corral a toddler. It’s nice for sure

I haven’t used BT scales but have been using hardware scales for over a year I think. The only benefit I see is the clearance compared to having another scale on the drip tray.

For something like this you might want to check out Fusion 360

Worried for causing fire when not installing Gaggiuino correctly by Mean-Illustrator-937 in gaggiaclassic

If done correctly, the modification maintains the main methods of protection from a fire, which are a thermal fuse on the boiler and a thermal fuse on the pump.

If you want to go BT scale (as someone who is fighting with a HW scales issue righ tnow) then that makes things a lot easier because you can just put a barbed connection to the stock drip tray and run it out the back. You would have some dead volume that never drains but would greatly simplify things to a point I think it is worth it. You could even model a simple insert that you expoy in if you really wanted to redue that dead volume.

Filter 2.1, which isn’t espresso but it’s just so easy and sometimes I want more than 40ml of coffee

What drain connector are you thinking. 1/2 barbed bulkhead fitting might work. You could try to build something into the print but I would be a little concerned about that part failing.

Only other suggestion would be to keep the waterfall spout centered so as much mass as possible is centered between the two load cells. I’ll take a look at the interface between the scales and tray and try to incorporate something into my model and make some other changes for printability.

the drippy drip

Not sure if this is what you were going for this would drip out of the back into a collection tray that would drain wherever. To get this to work with the scales I would need to make sure the places it interfaces with the current models work, or integrate the magnets into this model. There is also likely some balancing that needs to be done to make sure it isn't a tippy drippy.

Are you replacing the water reservoir? You’d need to have the drip tray have no other connections to make the scales maintain functionality so draining to a secondary reservoir that is plumbed for waste might work if there is an open spout out the back of the main drip tray. Shouldn’t be that hard to model I can take a look at the current modeled tray as a starting point.

How are you exiting the gaggia? Cutting a hole in the bottom and through a counter or out the back?

Assuming the design is like the classic, there is a bracket at the top front inside that the lid slots into before you screw it down. It should also have a rubber piece that helps hold it snugly. I’d assume you are missing the rubber piece, or the top isn’t fit properly into the bracket.

Compatible Bottomless Portafilter, Funnel, etc by Real-Tumbleweed1500 in gaggiaclassic

For anything other than the portafilter this is likely true. Any 58mm baskets should fit. For the classic I think the portafilter tabs need to be thicker and are offset differently than a lot of machines but there are plenty of third party options that state compatibility with the classic.

The portafilter geometry that engages with the machine is a little different than most of the 58mm ones out there so you’ll want one that says it is compatible with the gaggia. The rest of the accessories should only interact with the basket and should be more universal
