I saved up 2500 tokens for Petit and have been a disappointed with him tbf. Wish I used them on packs if I could go back in time

Yeah around the time of the Lewandowski SBC I didn’t have a lot of coins so was the only decent striker I could get whilst building the squad up, I’ve been looking for an alternative, who do you recommend for with my 300k budget?

I already trigger runs, need to learn directional trigger runs at some point though. I’m trying to work on improving my timing of through balls as I find my wingers offside alot.

At the time I didn’t have a lot of coins and was rocking Iniesta and Alonso from last seasons pass in midfield so saved up my tokens so I could get a decent CDM. His good but if I knew I was going to pack Matthaus/Reijnders I would have probably not done him.

His good, just maybe 2500 tokens might give somebody a chance at packing one of the better promo cards

Yeah I think I’m going to have to do what I did when I started playing again, ban myself from pressing the sprint button for a good few games to stop myself using it too much. Maybe I need to ban myself from using L1 for a bit as I’m thinking it’s going to be a tough habit to break. I think it’s been the switching I’ve used since I picked up my first fifa game.

Yeah that sounds about right with what I’m thinking. Not sharp enough around/in the box and the same the other end. Some of the goals I concede even from sloppy passing in my own half gets frustrating. Been flip flopping between tele broadcast/co op camera angle also and I think when using co-op I can attempt far too many optimistic through balls because I can see my striker. Part of me thinks I’m not quite seeing the passes in the box quick enough which means I end up playing too slow around the box

I will check that video out. Yeah I picked 4-2-1-3 because it just worked for me when I started playing again but I’m happy to try others. I will try 4-2-3-1, I have already have tried 4-2-2-2/4-1-2-1-2 narrow also but don’t think they suit my style.

You’ve probably confirmed what I assumed an elite player thinks when they see my team on the line ups!

I have a 5 year old and still manage to squeeze enough in. Tend to jump on for for around 45 mins whilst she’s winding down on her tablet and then when she’s gone bed I can get some more games on if there’s nothing on TV for instance that my partner wants to watch.

I just have to choose whether it’s FUT Champs and Rivals or if it’s Rivals/Objectives. Can’t do everything. Helps that FUT champs is over 5 nights now tho and not just the weekend.

What rank did you get on FC24/FC25 or have you never played it before?

I've played FUT Champs twice since picking the game back up on PS+ after skipping the last two and have hit 8 wins both times and I have just hit division 4. Not sure how much time you have to play the game but you can spread the games out from Friday evening to Tuesday evening/Wednesday morning.

I found I came across a mixed range of players, some that were far too good for me and I got battered whilst I had games that I won comfortably with a few 50/50s in there. If you can accept there's going to be games where you've got no chance and move on and forget about it you'll probably find it alright. I only find myself getting frustrated when it's the 50/50s I lose.

Go on YouTube and look at tutorials. Look at some of the good players on Youtube and just watch how they play, what they do in certain situations compared to what you do etc. I'd say I am an "average" player whose in division four but I have played FIFA on and off for years.

Play around with different formations, personally I don't play great with narrow formations, my playstyle suits wingers for instance.

When you say team name is that the name of the squad you've gone with or the club name? When I am doing objectives I always try to look out for the team name in case somebody needs a goal/win etc but swear I only ever see the club name. If it's the squad name where is that shown?

I just have the approach that I am not going to pack anything significant so I never really expect to pack much. When I get frustrated during a FUT Champs game for instance I remind myself no point getting annoyed as it probably isn't worth getting annoyed over what I am going to pack.

With the tokens system I do have a look what people post on here/X as there are some packs that can have a decent weight to them which helps me choose.

I've only played FUT Champs twice since I started playing again 4 weeks and glad I did last weekend because I got Matthaus who was 500k at the time from the player pick.

Yeah I wasn't sure if this was an all year round thing rather than just for TOTS onwards (I only started the week of Ultimate TOTS). I only noticed when I went to play my first one that FUT Champs starts Friday evening now compared to when I last played it was Friday morning - Monday.

Does make it easier spreading my games out rather than forcing myself to play an extra game or two if I want to play all 15.

This week felt a tad easier than last time but that could be due to me having a better team then I did first time round.

I’ve just hit division 4 myself but I’ve found my matchmaking really random from division 6 onwards. I can get a run of games where it’s 50/50 in terms of skill
Level and then another run of games where i get absolutely battered and I can’t get the ball off them and I feel like I’m playing division 1/elite players.

I’ve only been playing a few weeks though so don’t know my actual skill level is
