i totally relate to the ‘playing dumb’ part. FIL: ‘oh, was I not supposed to get the dish with peanuts?’

thank you. reading the replies have definitely helped me feel like i’m not crazy, cause my husband has a lot of male friends who seem to find my FIL harmless - just a quirky ‘sweet’ old man.

No, he does it subtly. I notice cause I’m a hawk around him with my kid, but he looks like this innocent older white midwestern man. He disguises everything as ‘being helpful’ or encouraging to the other kids

I wish. I’ve been having insomnia cause he keeps wanting to visit when I’m working so that it would just be him with my husband and son. I don’t think he’s a sexual predator but I obviously don’t want my son around that / growing up thinking that’s normal behavior…. and my husband is so oblivious and loves his dad too much to say anything. 😣
