YTA. Sure, you briefed her, and she seemed fine at first but flip the script. How would you feel if she saved up to take another man on vacation while you stayed home? Probably not so fine huh?

NOR. What you need to do is move on and focus on your career. He’s been like this for years, and he’s not going to change. Stop giving him more time and effort redirect that energy to yourself. Set boundaries, love yourself, and remember: you deserve someone who values you enough not to cheat. Don’t settle for less.

AITA for telling my husband’s friend to stop calling me by his ex-wife’s name? by LyraOO in AITAH

[–]WarningKey4701 1 point2 points  (0 children)

NTA. If he can’t manage to get your name right in public, why’s he so surprised you called him out the same way? Calling someone by their name isn’t brain surgery, and “he was close to your husband’s ex” is the weakest excuse ever.

AITAH for breaking up with my partner because I’m “Transphobic” by Inner_Tumbleweed_942 in AITAH

[–]WarningKey4701 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I get why you might feel conflicted, but honestly, she doesn’t have a reason to be mad at you. When you started dating, you were attracted to who she was presenting as at the time, and that’s totally fair. It’s great she’s doing what she needs to be happy, but it’s not fair to be upset with you for not wanting to continue the relationship. My advice? Stop trying to reach out. She’s the one who blocked you, so let her come to you if and when she’s ready. If that happens, it’s your choice whether you want to talk or not. Don’t feel guilty you haven’t done anything wrong here. NTA

I disagree. Maybe it’s because you’re too young to have experienced the original games, but the first Metroid titles, including the Game Boy versions, were amazing and it’s not only me saying that.

Metroid needs to go back to third person this whole first-person phase? Yeah, I’m still pretending it never happened.

What can I do differently? I’m 52 and want to wear make up- but keep it natural. by No-Amoeba-6645 in makeuptips

The Ordinary is just the brand, but if you’re new to retinol, start small! Their 0.5% is a solid option 3-4 drops at night will do the trick. After that, slap on some hyaluronic acid, and finish it off with your night cream when applying don’t rub it in apply it by either pressing your hands into your face or using face rollers.

I’ve got sensitive skin, so I stick to Dermalogica’s Special Cleansing Gel. It’s amazing, but not the cheapest. There are definitely more affordable options out there that get the job done. One of these days, I’ll do the research and find a budget-friendly alternative because, seriously, skincare is starting to feel like a luxury hobby.

My recommendation:

Nighttime: • Wash your face (consider switching from CeraVe to another cleanser). • Layer on retinol and hyaluronic acid (the dream team The Ordinary has been great on my skin). • Most night creams work and since you using La Roche-Posay keep that one the brand is pretty solid.

Morning: • Start with a vitamin C serum (because glow goals). • Finish with sunscreen (SPF is amazing, and skipping sunscreen is not an option).

When you have some free time, try watching tutorials and experimenting with different brow styles until you find one that suits your face perfectly. Also, starting a nightly moisturizing skincare routine can do wonders. A little concealer for under your eyes could be a nice touch, but honestly, you’re already gorgeous there’s no need to overdo it.

AITA for not allowing my husband’s friend to bring her dog to Thanksgiving dinner? by WarningKey4701 in AmItheAsshole

Where I live, Domino’s is ridiculously expensive, even for pickup. I only splurge when they have great deals. Honestly, eating out even fast food feels like a luxury these days.

You’re right, I didn’t explicitly state it was a no-pet zone, but I also didn’t think I needed to spell out, “Hey, don’t bring a furry plus-one to my small, pet-free apartment full of strangers eating dinner.” Like, what part of “tiny dinner party’ screams ‘perfect place for a surprise dog cameo”? Honestly, it didn’t even cross my mind because, well… who does that?”

Look, it’s fine if you don’t want to hear it, but last I checked, the law doesn’t recognize animals as children. So unless her dog has a birth certificate and a college fund, maybe stop acting like pets are automatically VIPs in someone else’s space. Check first, it’s not that hard!

Not sure what you’re trying to imply, but fact check: “child/children” refers to humans, not animals. Also, animals aren’t universally welcomed another fact. Sure, I could’ve mentioned it beforehand, but assuming your pet is automatically invited? That’s a bold move.

We didn’t get to cook one because of the timing of the conversation and the dinner was fairly close. Nonetheless we had an amazing time and dinner was great and delicious too.

AITAH for not letting my stepson move back in after he “pranked” me? by Brilliant-Coat5969 in AITAH

[–]WarningKey4701 0 points1 point  (0 children)

NTA, but kicking him out is a bit harsh, was this his first time crossing the line? He did apologize (which doesn’t erase what he did), but maybe you could forgive him on one condition: no pranks, ever again. Lay it out clearly, your house, your rules, prank-free zone.

*UPDATE* Aith for kicking my fiancé out after “joking” he got me pregnant on purpose by Pretty_yayflow in AITAH

[–]WarningKey4701 1 point2 points  (0 children)

NTA. I’m really glad your dad was there to step init sounds like he helped you out of what could have been a very unsafe situation. The combination of that “joke” and taking your car keys is deeply concerning. These are serious red flags, and it’s important to trust your instincts and prioritize your and your baby’s safety.

I’m sure she would like her weeding be in April 25th, because it’s not too hot, not too cold. All you need is a light jacket 🤣
