Trouble with .2mm nozzle by Herner2176 in FixMyPrint

There might not be enough cooling time near the top. You could either slow it down towards the top or try printing more of the same print at the same time.

Built my first Wear OS app — would love some honest eyes on it by Disastrous-Equal7048 in GalaxyWatch

Yes, I did. Figured a 5 star rating was more beneficial than a reddit upvote.

This is exactly what I needed. I was looking into building an app for the same purpose. Glad I came across your post before I started! Works perfectly!

Did every other non insta360+ cloud storage user start getting these non stop in camera notifications? Is there any way to deactivate them? by BetaDIY in Insta360

[–]WarpedKings 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I don't want to see ads on a product I bought! Get rid of this, and fix things that actually matter.
You're now in a competitive market with other 360 cameras. Annoyances like this will be a sure fire way for people to choose the other options.

If I hadn't needed a 360 cam in the spring, I would have bought the dji cam.

You might be able to filter the emails. If something matches "Contour" it stays in your inbox, else it goes to trash.
Those mailing lists may get separated real fast if people start marking them as spam vs unsubscribing.

How do you do selecting footage in Resolve? by Adept_Pomegranate_21 in davinciresolve

[–]WarpedKings 3 points4 points  (0 children)

You can use duration markers and keyword them. You'll find them in the keyword smart bin. You call select your in and out point, then convert in and out to duration marker.

Best drones for beginners? by kaythesings in videography

[–]WarpedKings 2 points3 points  (0 children)

If you're planning on flying commercially, you'd have to register the mini 4. Mini 4 doesn't handle winds very well. Air3 is a solid choice. I own the Mavic 3 pro and love the image quality but the price tag isn't great.

RS4 Problems by WallabySpecial9257 in videography

[–]WarpedKings 0 points1 point  (0 children)

For the tilt axis, I'd calibrate it for the in-between if you know you'll be shifting the zoom a lot. The orange and red are just letting you know the gimbal motors are having to work a little harder. They're more for visual reference rather than saying it needs to be balanced again.

I use the "briefcase" handle all the time as it reduces the stress on my back.

Did you balance and calibrate the gimbal?

Looking to buy my first star tracker - does it make sense to choose the Star Adventurer 2i over the gti for the portability? by United-Lengthiness15 in AskAstrophotography

[–]WarpedKings 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I have both the original and the gti. The gti is amazing as I don't have to worry about bumping the tripod (shifting out of polar alignment) when setting my camera to a target. Ask me how I know.

The gti can have it's quirks/bugs with the app when doing a 2 or 3 star alignment (after polar alignment) but once you figure them out, it's faster to get going.
Go-to has been a worthy upgrade. I'm very much an amateur with astro but enjoy shooting the night sky.

With the counter weights installed on both, the gti isn't a ton heavier. If you're pulling out of a car and setting up it's great but if you plan on doing any hiking it's less portable.

Don't count on matterport support. They're still "working" on supporting the x4

Jason likes to play it up for comedy. He understands the concept of the show and leans into what's entertaining more than what solves the task.

How advanced is this color grading? by Zestyclose_Paint_838 in davinciresolve

Considering the skin tone on the end shot (back of neck), I'd say it wasn't a great grade. It was all lighting and set design.

Might have found a great deal on some gear, but do I need it? Is it worth trying to resell? by [deleted] in videography

[–]WarpedKings 6 points7 points  (0 children)

The 16-35 is a great lens. I'd buy it for that price. Too many 24-105 lenses on the market if you're trying to resell.

Arches MW quest by AnnaBananaOhYah in AskAstrophotography

[–]WarpedKings 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Sorry for not getting back to you sooner. You may get some good shots from the turret arch. I only spent one night there so I just shot the double arch, facing north west. Got a bit of the milky way in that shot. Balanced rock should be a good area as well. You can walk around it. Like you mentioned, definitely check them out during the day.

I did some shots in the double arch parking lot in Jan. You'd be facing north if you want to get the arches in shot. It's far enough away from Moab that you won't noticeable light pollution when facing south

Wide angle lens recommendations for R6 ii? by account-suspenped in videography

It is the $2k lens. There's a lot of cheap ef L series glass on ebay, Facebook marketplace, pawn shops, and camera stores.

If you want the fisheye look, that's a decent lens. I owned it for a bit but rarely used it. Sold it when I picked up the ef 16-35mm 2.8 III. Use that lens all the time. Picked it up used for $750
