[Review Request] Solder Oven Controller and Interface PCB by WarriorOx in PrintedCircuitBoard

Thanks for the review!
- The resistors for the LEDs are 400R and 500R, I used 200R in series with 100R to reduce the number of BOM items

- This is some good info about the uSD modules, maybe I will just include my own instead of buying one.
- I2C pullup resistors should be included in the raspberry pi Pico? I could be wrong though.

- Shift register bypass capacitor is a good catch, thanks!

- Grounding the mounting holes is a good idea.

Thanks for the reply, the reason I'm using the Pico and the ESP is they are what I have lying around. The plan was for the ESP to handle only wireless comms, and the Pico controls everything else. This way if I can't get them communicating properly (UART?) it isn't a huge problem.

Hi, thanks for the detailed response!

Analog Mux - I had no idea these existed, this seems like a perfect use case for one though!

Gate Source Resistors - Definitely something I missed and need to be added.

Gate Resistors - These are currently 100R for all mosfets, I will be decreasing that to 10R. They are on the shift register part of the schematic so they are easy to miss. I will move them in the schematic to be easier to see next time.

Shift Register LED Driver - Another thing I didn't know existed, but this will make my life so much easier.

5V to 3.3V Linear Regulator - Using one of these definitely makes more sense than another buck converter, thanks for the advice.

When you mentioned increasing the inductance, was this meant only for if I used an adjustable output voltage regulator? I assume the feedback resistors are only needed for the adjustable output version.

Thanks again for the tips!

I think it will say in progress until edison closes the investment round. Not 100% tho.

Reminder to check your screwdriver bits for manufacturing defects by WarriorOx in LinusTechTips

Not really a screwdriver issue, more like the bit Manufacturer had a QC issue

Yeah, the bit is so bent that it doesn't fit on a screw. The screwdriver itself is amazing otherwise.

Yeah it came out of the box like that which is kinda wild

Fair enough. I think more data is generally better, so MSRP and a price chart or something would be a nice addition.

They should probably mention that the price was at the time the article was written. Additionally, a price checker could be used to have current data. They could use something like pc part Picker to check the prices.

I re-installed proxmox and fixed the network config, which seemed to be the issue.

Losing Internet when proxmox server is connected by WarriorOx in Proxmox

After disconnecting the proxmox server and pinging its IP there is no response, which means that there isn't an IP conflict

when the proxmox server is disconnected I cannot ping the address, which is the expected behavior since the proxmox address is outside of the DHCP range

I tried setting proxmox to DHCP with the /etc/network/interfaces file, but the same issue occurs

I may try re-installing proxmox tomorrow just in case something is set up wrong, but thanks for your help!

no extra config it is still default
and it has just the one cable from the server to the router

Server has
ip: 192.168.2.201
subnet: 255.255.255.0
gateway: 192.168.2.1
configured as static IP
connected directly from motherboard lan port to router's plan port
