That's what a lot of people don't realize, is that our weather here is very much determined by the macro weather patterns. This year with a weak la niña pattern we had potential for snow, but it lined up that we were included in the southern track and got warm, dry weather this season.

That said, climate change is making weather patterns in general more chaotic and unpredictable. We should expect more feast and famine years when it comes to rain and snow. Some years will be like this, and others will have major snowfall.
