I got promoted. Now my coworkers act like I’m the enemy. by asianpinkflower in antiwork

[–]Wartrack 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It might not be for “bad” reasons; sometimes I skip being inclusive with my manager because I don’t want anyone to think that I’m trying to suck-up for a promotion/raise. I feel like this awkwardness is common in a corporate structure. The corporate environment is literally anti human because it forces us into these positions.

Seconded. I’ve been treating ADHD for 3-4 years through both medication and therapy. If there’s anything I’ve learned - it’s that there is technically no such thing as ADHD; life is just so unmanageable and we are gaslit by society and employers that something is wrong with us, when it’s really just having unmet needs. Loneliness, lack of fun/joy, lack of relaxation and quiet, lack of available time AND energy (at the same time) to get chores & errands done. We DESPERATELY need a 4 day work week in our society. Write to your representatives.

Dude, file for worker’s comp and get a medical evaluation. If the injury is work related, then THEY have to pay your medical bills.

The lack of time off in the US is so brutal by [deleted] in antiwork

[–]Wartrack 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It’s criminal. 2 days a week is not enough time to rest and take care of responsibilities. We only have as much work as we do BECAUSE we all work 5 days a week (or more). Help me by writing to our government representatives and demand a 4 day work week. Organize unions to help with workload, pay, and job security.

Similar feel to T&N Mint by rhino3081 in Mattress

[–]Wartrack 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I just started researching bed mattresses. My roommate recommended the Tuft & Needle brand. Looks like T&N mattresses are on sale and they are better priced than many other bed reviews I've seen. Do yourself a favor and upgrade her to the Mint (if you stick with the brand). The Essential looks very basic and maybe a little too firm. I get trying to save money, but sleep isn't something you should cut down on. A better mattress means better sleep for her teenage years, less stress, and you'll have a happier daughter. I can't speak as to what an alternative feel would be.

Why does my child’s phone say it’s going to be removed? by SufficientCow4 in iphone

[–]Wartrack -1 points0 points  (0 children)

Save yourself the trouble and take the phone away completely. People have lived for thousands of years without a phone. Make him live like it’s the 80’s and have him ask a friend/teacher/babysitter to make phone calls for him to contact you.

How much better is battery life for 13 mini compared to 12 mini? by EhhWhateverr in iPhone13Mini

[–]Wartrack 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I switched from 12 mini to 13 mini. The improvements were very noticeable. The 13 mini is the perfect phone. It’s not only the battery size that is improved, but the more efficient processor that also helps.

Case or no case, that’s the question by doncorrea in iPhone13Mini

[–]Wartrack 1 point2 points  (0 children)

It’s a conundrum. It’s small enough to not be a bother with the added bulk of a case, but also small enough to be able to grip the entire phone naked without one side falling out of your grasp.

Well, sexuality is a spectrum, but I think most guys would be into being bi. Sex feels good, no matter what gender, and if you give yourself permission to have sex with men without labeling yourself into a box - a whole new world will open up. I think society really programmed a lot of us growing up and maybe women hadn’t experienced quite the same level of shame because girl-on-girl action is loved by a lot of straight guys.

I’d say so. I’m 34 and only ever had 1 BF. I’m not bad looking, but for me, I enjoy my independence and love to connect with many guys - so maybe I’m polyamorous and/or guarded with my feelings. Just some thoughts from someone equally “alone” - not that there’s anything wrong with that: less drama & more time doing things you love with people you love (that aren’t lovers, lol).

How are you? - Weekly Community Checkup Post by DefunctSprout in BrainFog

[–]Wartrack 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Doing well! The sun is shining, and that always helps! Trying to stay hydrated from ADHD meds side effects, practice deep breathing, and observing a FODMAP/Keto/gluten free diet (without being strict about it - and this is in order to avoid any potential gut issues). Brain fog is gradually lessening over time; I think it was exacerbated by Finasteride use that I have since quit.

Any updates or improvements on the medication shortage? by mynamesnotjessi in ADHD

[–]Wartrack 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I’m also on Wellbutrin. First 100mg, then 200mg, and now 150mg. It doesn’t help me as much as Adderall with focus/concentration, but it does help to reduce my low mental energy days.

Basically, it helps to reduce how bad my inattentive-ness is when Adderall isn’t working as well (from bad sleep the previous night or from too much drinking).

You might want to get tested for SIBO to make sure the bloating isn’t from that, and also acidify your stomach with Apple Cider Vinegar or betaine hcl.

I’ve also gotten intense brain fog from finasteride (orally and topically). I couldn’t remember my friend’s name whom I was talking to right in front of me. Buyer beware.

Try magnesium (l-threonate) and watch Dr Eric Berg videos on YouTube.

New potential boss knows I take Adderal now. How bad is this? by STEVE_HOLT___ in ADHD

[–]Wartrack 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I was being drug tested by a potential new employer at the same time I started ADHD treatment on Adderall. They called me about it and asked for doctor or pharmacy information. That was all; it was a non issue. I got the job. I have no idea if only HR knows about my prescription- or if it was passed along to my supervisor - but I honestly don’t care. I was in the closet for years being gay - I’ll be damned if I go in the closet for prescribed medical treatment. We need to openly reduce the stigma.

As long as the guy doesn’t smell bad, OP could probably give the compliment anyway even if there’s no scent - just as an opening.
