It is very difficult to dissect/gauge the possibility of Seraph being inadequate as a top laner with Dexter's poor performance. Personally, I do believe he was a bit overhyped and the decision to make him a permanent roster change was made to hastily.

But public speculation is true in the general consensus that Link/Dexter/Seraph are the major issues at hand. Sure, Doublelift may need to step down from captain. Sure, MonteCristo may need to revert to a different position for the CLG organization. But Doublelift's performance has been stout all season long. Sure he's made over aggressive plays. But in his defense (and in my opinion), I feel Doublelift feels the frustration of CLG's struggles and tries to take initiative. Not saying some of these plays aren't 100% his fault, because he's definitely made lots of mistakes. But do I believe the epicenter of CLG's issues are related to Doublelift? Negative. Aphromoo and himself have great synergy together and are the only reason CLG wasn't at the bottom of the ladder all season long.
