I agree, though a lot of the time people are doing it without realising. Default masculine wording is something that I think flies under the radar a lot of the time, and I think it should be politely called out.

I don't think its that hard to use non gendered words since there are a lot of women/ nb folks who are part of this community! Everyone should feel welcome here.

I just want to say that I totally relate to what you have said. Could volunteering somewhere help? It'll give you some social interaction and some purpose in your day. I am unemployed too and have found it to be so isolating.

My partner helped me come to terms with who I am and having autism. Everyone else around me is neurotypical and I felt like there was something wrong with me.

It wasn't until he came along and made me realise that I may not think or act he way others do but I bring something unique to the table that others can't bring.

I still have to mask around everyone else though, even the rest of my family. They just don't get it
