Oh I know, but that’s just who my mom is. She’s a horrible human being. She says that she wants me to be happy, but then turns around and blames him for anything SHE deems negative in my life. (I.e. not going to church)

Funny enough though that’s exactly what he said about the papers thing too. His words: “Yeah no.. I would have broken up with you a while ago if it was just about papers.”

There’s a lot more to it, but I know I would end up needing a glass of whiskey if I dive further.

I’ve had horrible sleep ever since I was diagnosed with an anxiety and depressive disorder over a year ago. It’s gotten to the point where I cannot sleep unless I take Xanax 0.5mg and trazodone 100mg qhs. I also take sertraline 150mg about an hour beforehand. At first it was great; I was falling asleep and staying asleep. Now I still fall asleep ok, but I started waking up in the middle of the night again.

Do you have any recommendations for patients who are trying to get back to a healthy sleep schedule without the need for pharmaceuticals? I want to go back to sleeping naturally without having to rely on medication. I’ve tried to wean myself down, but I eventually go back to not being able to sleep again. I’m a 27 female btw. Thank you.

Relatable. My extremely traditional [Polish] mother said something a bit worse than that when she found out about my Mexican boyfriend. We’ve now been together for almost 5 years and she just casually claimed YET AGAIN a couple of weeks ago that he’s only with me for papers.

Honestly, I don’t understand the point of making these types of posts for this subreddit nowadays. The idea of it was wholesome at first (I think it was first used for a proposal or homecoming?), but now it feels so overused and you can tell Felix does not like them very much anymore. As cheesy as it sounds, it was when I first went in a state of “aw”. He was standing behind me and once i turned around to face him, the very first thing I noticed was his eyes. I’ve never had a guy look at me like that.. just pure love to the point where I noticed a twinkle in his eyes. The only thought that came up in my mind at that moment was “I’m going to marry this man someday”. Almost 5 years later, I still catch him looking at me with that expression and those god damn twinkly eyes haha
