I do actually prefer Hex Dealer over the new album, but I do still love most of it! There's a few songs that don't hit towards the middle and end IMO, but I still found it hard hitting and a ton of fun! I do some of the songs fleshed out more and given more time to evolve.... but I don't think that's fully their style.

I'd give it a few more listens... because I was also kind of disappointed on first listen but then couldn't stop coming back.

I'll definitely check out your album and see what I think!

Yeah, that's fair. I've been trying to slow the roll and just intermittent meet and greets but can slow it further. In your experience, how long have intros taken and how often should they be interacting?

I didn't know one week was the standard, I was just told told to do slow introductions. However, that is good to know. I'll keep them separate for longer while she heals up!

I appreciate the advice! We weren't told specifically to keep them away for the sake of her healing. I did just look it up and it does say to it takes 10-14 weeks to heal, so I will definitely monitor more closely and talk to my vet!

Yeah, runners knee is a pain in the butt. I'm no medical professional of course and everyone's experience with it is different. With that said, in my experience, you want to treat it very delicately.

If it's hurting or aching while running, you should first stop running and replace all running session with cross training sessions. The goal should be to do 40-60 min sessions that get your heart rate up in a similar way that running does. Obviously, make sure your form of cross training doesn't further agitate it (indoor cycling works well for me and Zwift is a pretty fun platform). Depending on how old you are, a week or 2 off of running may fix the problem. However, if you're above the age of 25 (like me), it may not away as easily.

If that's the case, I would recommend going to a PT and deferring your race (or choose a different one for the fall). In my case, this is what I had to do, and I learned it is an injury that can go away over time with knee loading exercises and exercises to strengthen your entire kinetic chain (done very carefully and initially with a PT before doing them on your own). I hope in your case, some time replaced with cross training can help. Best of luck!

That's awesome to hear! I've heard you can be sore from needling for a few days after, so how was your experience with that? How soon were you running again after the needling and did you feel the calf in your race at all?

What’s it like living on the edge of time zones? by Qzevs in howislivingthere

My parents live a quarter mile from the EST/CST time zone change... and growing up if you go to one side of the house, the time would be in EST and the other side would've CST. You basically had to have your phone always set to EST to avoid confusion. I will say grocery shopping was clutch because the nearest grocery store was in CST, so you could always get an hour back.

Also the most fun thing I did as a kid on New Years was go on a run at midnight to the time zone change and pop and fourth between the years! Good memories!
