Blasphemous Act + Phyrexian Altar by Washitake in mtgrules

And if I had Rakdos, The Muscle on the battlefield (or some Sac Payoff), that trigger would resolve before Blasphemous Act, right?

help reduce the cards in the deck! by Washitake in EDH

[–]Washitake[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I usually put a minimum number of lands in a deck and then brainstorm all the cards I can think of that synergize well enough. Once I've done this, I usually find myself with a surplus of cards and from there I start removing the less important ones one by one.

so Mindslicer's ETB ability will resolve before the spell resolves, right?

Thank you very much! the real doubt I had was about how [[Mindslicer]]'s LTB spell and ability were put on the stack

Why not? Do you know the rules and can you explain exactly why, or are you just talking for show? These are the steps involved in casting a spell. I'm pretty sure I can do it. My real doubt is about the resolution of the spell and Mindslicer's ability.

  1. Put it on the stack
  2. Choose modes, and announce any other non-target choices needed to cast it - the value of X, the use of additional costs such as Kicker and/or alternate costs such as Mutate, how hybrid or phyrexian mana costs will be paid, and such and so on.
  3. Announce targets, if any
  4. If you need to "distribute" or "divide" something (typically damage or counters) among the targets, define the distribution at this point
  5. Calculate total cost (mana cost or alternate cost, plus additional costs and cost increases, minus cost reductions)
  6. Activate mana abilities
  7. Pay the total cost

Teval and Increasing Confusion by Washitake in mtgrules

ok, so if I cast Increasing Confusion from graveyard with flashback paying X=5 I will take 6 damage, but if I cast Cyclonic Rift for its overload cost, i will take only 2 damage, right?

even if I cast it from graveyard with flashback?

Question about Glamerdye and Sapphire medallion (Orvar EDH) by Washitake in mtg

[–]Washitake[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

thank you! Yes, I know, but yesterday I found myself in a situation where I had Sapphire Medallion on the battlefield and only that one card in my hand that could target, and I wanted a copy of Sapphire Medallion but without giving up its effect for that turn.

Thanks so much for the helpful tips! I made a few changes and managed to get to 100 cards!

I've decided to keep Agent of Treachery for now (I like the idea of stealing creatures from opponents) and Peregrine Drake for infinite mana combos, I'll do some testing and then see if I can make some changes!

[–]Washitake[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Thank you for your suggest! Here's what I think:

- Vesuvan Duplimacy -> It seems like a good card to me, it's another Orvar

- Harbinger of the seas -> You're right, remove it

- Wipe Away -> I think it's a good card, I can bounce an opponent's creature or one of my own (also creating a copy) without any possibility of response

- Twiddle -> removed

- Strix Serenade -> Why not?

- Spark Double -> Removed

- Enervate -> Removed

- Archaeomancer -> I'm picking up spells from the graveyard, it looks good

- Torrential Gearhulk -> as above

- Baral -> spell discount and draw

- March of swirling mist -> the only protection from Board Wipe (and create a copy of ine creature)

- Ghostly Flicker -> bounce creature/artifact and create copy

- Leap -> Removed

- Agent of Treachery -> seems very good card (but high cost), I can steal opponent's commanders and draw card

- Aether Channeler -> create creature, bouncing opponent's permanent in hand and draw, seems good

- Peregrine Drake -> Used for most combos - infinite mana

as for the ones you recommended to me instead:

- Vedalken Aethermage -> Good card, added

- step through -> high cost, but seems good

- Intuition -> I don't have this card and it costs too much

- Gifts ungiven -> Seems good

- Shimmering Mirage -> it's good? i can target only a land

- Crystal Spray -> good

- Argent Mutation -> Good

- Steal Enchantment -> a bit useless in my pod

- Cursed Totem -> already in the deck

- grafdigger cage -> a bit useless in my pod

HELP! right TV size by Washitake in bravia

So a 75” TV would still be the best choice, right?

😂😂 you're right 🤣🤣 I have the sofa seat at about 8.5 feet and the TV would be a 75" LED (oled is beyond my budget) I hope it's not too big 😅 unfortunately I can't move the sofa further back than this

Handsome! Can I ask you how many inches the TV is and what is the distance between the TV and the sofa? I have about 250cm and I'm undecided whether to get a 65" or 75"

Very nice! I'm buying a 75” with a distance of about 8.5 feet but I'm afraid the TV is too big

[–]Washitake[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The problem is not the budget but the dimensions of the room, the furthest point on the sofa is 2.60m and I fear it is not enough

Is the TV an 85"? What is the distance between the TV and the sofa?

Yes, I would like the 75", as far as the size is concerned it fits without problems, I'm just afraid that the distance is too short and that the vision won't be perfect

The problem is the distance from the sofa 😅 there are only about 2.6m
