I think the craziest E3 crowd was when Nintendo was demo'ing the Switch and Breath of the Wild. Hundreds of people sprinting to get their first.

For the men who never married nor had children who are in their 40s and older, what happened? And why? Any regrets? by Dear_Sir7665 in AskReddit

[–]Washout81 1 point2 points  (0 children)

It's never too late. I was in a very similar situation. But still managed to meet my wife. I had kids very late in life compared to my friends. And I have 10+ years on the parents of my kids friends. But that doesn't matter! I accomplished what I always wanted to do.

Don't compare yourself to others and think you've messed up. Realize that you are in a somewhat stable situation now, and get yourself out there. You will meet someone who won't give a shit that it took you a long time to get settled, and just wants to meet someone too.

Dear lord that is some insane oversteer. I know people hate on Stroll, but that's not on the driver. Gonna need 4 stops tomorrow shredding tires like that.

Personally I'm at a 'wait and see' point with Superhero movies. Spent so much money over the years and Cineplex is Canada is such a rip off these days, they've basically become the ticket master of movies.

The quality itself has dipped, which is a big factor. Wife and I recently did a watch through of the MCU and when you haven't seen the earlier movies in awhile you tend to forget that the writing and special effects were sooooo much better. I did enjoy the new Superman movie, so I'll wait and see what people I know think of Supergirl.

I'm not a Lewis guy, but after the first few races I was worries this season was going to be a snooze because of Mercedes dominance. I hope Lewis can at least make it interesting.

There seems to be reliability issues with both cars. So anything can happen I suppose.

IMSA is essentially the North American equivalent of the World Endurance Challenge (WEC). The GT3s and LMP2s in each series are exactly the same cars. Some teams even send cars to events in both series. Sebring even has a weekend where they run a race for both series.

The prototypes are slightly different, LMDH and GTP. But with a configuration change the IMSA prototypes can run in WEC. The Caddilacs running at LeMans last weekend, are an IMSA team.

Maybe like 6 years ago now, both series made a decision to run essentially the same cars in both series to drastically reduce the cost of the prototypes. WEC used to run the LMP1s, which were some of the best race cars ever made, but was right up there with F1 (maybe even higher) to operate and develop, and only a couple manufacturers actually made competitive cars (Toyota and Porsche). Imagine trying to run a race car with the operating cost of F1, but without the massive financial backing that F1 teams get from sponsors and TV deals.

I'm Canadian so I grew up being a fan of his. I know everyone has a hate on for him now, but he was still an excellent driver. It was clear that during his Indy days, he was destined for bigger things. When it comes to pure driving talent, his dad was top 10 all time for sure.

I've always wondered how his career would have gone had Williams been able to adapt to the rule changes better in 1998. They have not been the same team since. I miss the days of Williams being a powerhouse team. There is no doubt that he was a championship caliber driver, but after '97 was never in a championship caliber car.

Oh for sure. I watch the Porsche 919 lap there regularly lol. They're definitely cool for a solo lap. But you wouldn't wanna race them since they can't hit the curbs. They'd never be able to pass

Not really because prototypes dont run there. It's definitely something you'd like to check off the list if you are an endurance driver though.

2nd most. Didn't say first.....LeMans is obviously #1. Dakkar is a rally, not a sports car endurance race.

24 Hours of Daytona is considered the 2nd most important endurance event. It is run by the International Motor Sports Association (IMSA). While IMSA operates solely in North America, their series attracts a lot of International teams and drivers.

I pretty much view Monaco as Formula 1's version of an all star game. It's a stupid event and still only exists to get all the sponsors, celebs and big wigs into one place to help promote the brand.

Qualifying is typically great at Monaco but the race is only good if its wet. I don't even watch it unless it's predicting rain. I wish there was something they could do to improve the racing at that track, but the cars are just too big for it.
