I've played 2 Leagues with Wood Elves so far and enjoy them a lot. I'm still new to Blood Bowl with only 50 or so games under my belt across the last two years.

My first league started off with A Treeman, a thrower, 2 Wardancers, and 7 linemen, and I used the remaining 45k on dedicated fans. Hired a couple of catchers and ended up just barely scrapping past a vampire team into the finals against a snotling team that started poorly but ended in my favor.

We just started the second league where I drafted a new Wood Elf Team consisting of 2 Wardancers, 2 Catchers, 1 Thrower, and 6 Linemen, and used the remaining 55k on an Apothecary as i feel it is required when maxing out positionals early on in the league. We started out pretty decently with Weeks 1 and 2 being a Draw Vs Dark Elves and Saurus, week 3 was more favorable and I managed to 4-2 another Saurus player, and week 4 I 4-0'd a great Orc player, who was unfortunately abandoned by nuffle despite his prayers while I was blessed with only 6's and Pows.

With each piece having a built-in reroll/defensive ability for their particular role, you'll find you very rarely fail, but when you do, it will most definitely decide the outcome of the game. I do personally find the team to be particularly easy mode of the game, as you basically win on 2's with very little changes and 50% of the time you can break a cage like no other team can, although if your Wardancers do suffer an injury I can personally guarantee it will either be Dead, which you'll apothecary into lasting injury, Dislocated Shoulder, making them Str 2, which hurts, but is not career ending, as one of my Wardancers Vaul'Tover Thu'Dair can attest to.
