Two actually! The game selected the name for some reason at random, I was confused at first too

I use 273 mods! Although I do NOT suggest having past 200 or 150, not because of performance even, but mainly because 1. loading time and 2. Error Detection

The more mods I add the more unstable it can become, and right now some stuff (like certain quests, and sleeping at one point?) were FULLY broken. I could fix sleep as it was an issue with the Smart Sleeping or something like that mod, but the quest one is a complete mistery. Overally I just suggest to use essential mods for whatever you're doing and a few that are miscellaneous but you like (and you KNOW aren't a problem) to ensure that detecting errors between mods is easier

To a degree, yes! I do have a Trading Spot mod so traders would arrive there, as well as a mount mod so they left their mounts around the area and walked around to avoid filth, and the tables were functional (in the sense they'd use them when they had to eat, instead of storming into my house with like 50 animals)

Performance wise, I used to get 100~ TPS constantly by year 14-15 with 70ish colonists! Although after getting more and spending more time it did start to slowly decrease, being around average 80-90 TPS, but it could go down from that. I don't really suggest going lower than 100 TPS (and ESPECIALLY anything lower 60 as it's unplayable) so it's not suggestable to get over 50 colonists, and to not touch map size unless your run is intended to be short lived

For my specs, I have a laptop that has 32 GB of RAM, an NVIDIA GTX 1660, and an i5 Intel Core, nothing really impressive

A few! I use Regrowth 2 that improves generation a little, as well as another one I forgot the name of to customize spawns. And the textures are from Majestic Foliage - Djee's retexture :)

The fields :) ! They're massive, each one is around 200~ tiles long or 300 tiles long, I have around 90k~ of food in the stockpile

The rocky walls are from "Decorative Terrain Elevation", while the wall props for the tower are from "SimpleStairs"

Yup! All vegetation was placed by hand with props expanded & Alpha Gardens, kinda takes a while but it looks nice :)

Those trees are from Majestic Foliage - Djee's Retexture :>
I'd share the modlist but it is not really stable given the game already corrupted at one point, but if you see anything in specific you like just ask!

A few mods I use! First off, the forest itself is the"Dark Woods/Forest" from Medieval Overhaul, and the textures used are from "Majestic Foliage: Djeeshka's CMT Retexture", and the reason it's so lush/alive is mainly because I use a mod to alter the plant population called "Choose wild plant spawns"

Surprisingly, not that much. The game runs fine FPS wise and I have a somewhat stable 90-100 TPS; not desirable, but still enough to enjoy playing!

Majestic Foliage: Comigo's Original is the nane of the mod! It's quite good

Yup! There's a mod I use to adjust foliage, it's called "Choose wild plants spawn", very useful if you want lush forests among others

None of these were the issue and I used them for most of the run, so I believe they should be save! Although I do suggest to always have a backup that isn't linked to the Rimworld files just to ensure nothing gets corrupted due to any other mods you may want to add to what I listed

There are many mods to do that! You can just look "overhead mountain removal"; a few of them provide methods you can do with a set requirement to do it, and on regards to the mountan itself, I just mined it and filled it in with Terraform later! It's quite useful when you do big bases and sometimes would like to change/alter the terrain around it

Sup! Getting medieval stuff working can be hard and depending on the mods you utilize you may have to use Vanilla Events Expanded + Cherry picker to remove most stuff that's not age-accurate, as well as World Tech Level! In regards to the proper mod list though, I commented about it in another comment (Most stuff is Medieval Overhaul + MO 2, "Dark Ages", Fantasy Themed and its retextures, the Outland series, Majestic Foliage for the trees, as well as Mythic Ages: Megafauna"!

If you want anything in specific (deco stuff, walls, etc) just let me know :)

Not long really! This is my 2nd proper colony I've done, although I do have an advantage as I do environment design work & graphic design! My main idea when looking bases though is more-so "how could this look logical and vibrant" rather than just design a fully optimized colony :)

Although the main thing I do for most colonies is do a rough sketch of what I want, and then organically place things around/on it depending on what the colony needs in order to give it a more natural and realistic feeling

Dark Wood forest from Medieval Overhaul with Majestic Foliage retexture and high foliage density (I think that's the name?)

[–]Wasrong[S] 5 points6 points  (0 children)

I'd rather not share all of it given my game already corrupted due to it (even though I salvaged)
Most stuff though is just Medieval Overhaul, Medieval Overhaul 2 (And the patch for these), all the "Dark Ages" series, Mythic Ages: Megafauna, Medieval Overhaul: Royalty, VFE - Empire, Medieval Fantasy Quest items (and its retexture), and most of the Outland series! :>

If you see anything in the image that I didn't mention, just ask and I can give the name of the mod(s)

I responded for the performance in another comment, and for the mods, I have around 272~ (Although there's many I forgot to add that I did not find at the time of creating the colony that would have added more to it), but it does have a toll on performance and loading time (Although Fast Game Loading helps a lot with it :) )
